This time, BCA through its ad titled ‘Buat Apa Susah, Cukup Buka Rekening di BCA mobile’ (loosely translates to ‘Need No Trouble, Simply Open an Account on BCA mobile), which was uploaded on Solusi BCA Youtube channel, named the most viewed ads on Youtube during the second semester of 2019.
Google then recognized its success in a series of discussion events, which included speakers such as Senior Vice President of Marketing Communication of BCA Norisa Saifuddin, Product Marketing Manager of Large Advertiser & Agency Marketing at Google Indonesia Muriel Makarim, Head of Corporate Communication at Google Indonesia Jason Tedjasukmana, Creative Lead at Google Indonesia Ishak Reza in Jakarta, Kamis (30/01).
“Over the years, technology has been growing fast and innovation never stops. BCA released the ads to inform people with BCA’s latest features on BCA mobile, such as transfer while chatting, cardless cash withdrawal, topping up internet quota, and canceling ATM card online. All can be done at your fingertips via BCA mobile on your smartphones,” said Norisa.
Norisa added that the ad is of far more lasting values because it tells a story along with music that’s easy to remember. “We hope that everyone can enjoy the ad. In order to do so, the story we conveyed combined the nostalgic song from Koes Plus whose lyrics had been altered to become more relatable to current financial transactions problems, jazz concept, youth, and fun element in it. On the other hand, we also created a catchy jingle that’s easy to remember,” said Norisa.
Google has just released the YouTube Ad Rank Leaderboard for the second half of 2019, containing the best skippable ads. In fact, all ads on this list ‘can be skipped’ after 5 seconds but the viewers decided to watch until the end due to its interesting story. BCA’s ad titled ‘Buat Apa Susah, Cukup Buka Rekening di BCA mobile’ is one of the ten ads that recorded high performance as a result of popularity and promotion. On the other hand, BCA also made it into the most viewed YouTube advertisement leaderboard and reached more than 13 million viewers.
