Jepara, 16 July 2020 – As an institution that always stands by the people, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) continues its commitment to support the Covid-19 handling and recovery efforts in Indonesia. In addition to supporting the government’s economic programs, BCA also consistently provides assistance to those in need. BCA continues to maintain its commitment by donating PPE worth more than Rp50 million to RSUD RA Kartini in Jepara.
Having previously handed over donations to a number of hospitals in various regions in Central Java and Yogyakarta as well as other regions such as North Sumatera, West Sumatera, West Nusa Tenggara, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, East Java, and Special Capital Region of Jakarta, this time BCA provided assistance to Covid-19 front liners in Jepara. The PPE donation includes 480 N95 masks, 320 coveralls, and 2,000 surgical masks, which was directly handed over by the Head of KCP BCA Jepara Johanes Subagyo SH to Deputy Director of General Affairs and Finance of RSUD RA Kartini Subiyanto, SE, accompanied by the Head of Legal and Public Relations Division Karnoto, SE., MM, and the Head of Law and Program Development Hadi Sarwoko, SKM., MMKes at RSUD RA Kartini Jepara, Thursday (16/07).
“Seeing this, BCA is determined to continue to assist the government, medical personnel, and the Indonesian people in efforts to mitigate and recover from the pandemic, including in Jepara. The donation handover at RSUD RA today is expected to support the performance of medical personnel in handling patients,” explained Subagyo.
Since March, BCA had distributed donations to a number of regions in Indonesia in the form PPE and ventilators for medical personnel and patients, and staple food packages and hygiene kits for people financially affected by Covid-19. BCA also collaborates with various parties such as Benihbaik.com, Indonesian Hospital Association (PERSI) and the government in distributing aid to those in need. To date, BCA has donated more than Rp18 billion for Covid-19 mitigation measures.
“We hope that the assistance that we provide today can contribute to tackling the Covid-19 pandemic specifically in Jepara and Indonesia in general. We hope the pandemic will be over soon so we can resume normal activities. BCA is certainly committed to supporting the government in welcoming the new normal, which hopefully will happen in near future,” Subagyo concluded.
