Jakarta, September 8, 2025 – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA), through Bakti BCA has released a new video showcasing the community service initiatives of the four winning student teams from the Genera-Z Berbakti program across four Bakti BCA partner tourism villages. The video titled “Gen Z Bergerak: Bakti untuk Indonesia” highlights the journeys of Indonesia’s young generation in creating a positive impact for society, featuring Bakti BCA ambassador Nicholas Saputra alongside actress, producer, and entrepreneur Happy Salma.
The eight-minute video was created within a semi-documentary concept and presents not only the stories of the four student teams from different universities, but also the beauty and tourism potential of the villages. Viewers are invited to witness the pristine waters and turtle population of Derawan Island Tourism Village in East Kalimantan; the dolphins and waves of Teluk Kiluan in Lampung; the natural charm of Edelweiss Wonokitri in East Java; and the exotic beauty of Zamrud Lake—the world’s second-largest peat lake—located in Dayun Tourism Village, Riau.
Nicholas Saputra and Happy Salma’s involvement in the video goes beyond appearances. As panelists in the Genera-Z Berbakti judging phase, they visited the villages, engaged in discussions with students and residents, encouraged collaboration, and took part directly in program activities. Their experiences serve as the narrative voice throughout the video, building an inspiring story of how youth ideas can synergize with local wisdom to drive positive change.
“Seeing firsthand the passion and innovation of the Genera-Z Berbakti participants gives me tremendous hope. They brought not only knowledge, but also genuine sincerity to collaborate with the community. This is the essence of meaningful service,” said Bakti BCA Ambassador Nicholas Saputra.
Strong Enthusiasm for Genera-Z Berbakti Program
The launching of this video officially ended the Genera-Z Berbakti program, which has been running since March 2025. Designed as a nationwide competition, the initiative invited student proposals for community service projects. Beyond funding, Bakti BCA provided opportunities for students to implement their ideas directly in its four Bakti BCA’s partner villages.
The enthusiasm from the young generation to contribute to this program was quite high. The program received more than 250 proposals from 98 universities, both public and private, domestic and international. Eight finalist teams were selected to present their ideas before a jury, comprising Nicholas
Saputra, Happy Salma, and scientist, as well as GASING learning method founder, Prof. Yohanes Surya. The judging process can be seen via bca.id/genzjuara.
Following the judging process, four winning teams were awarded funding to implement their proposals: Universitas Indonesia (UI), Universitas Sam Ratulangi (UNSRAT), Universitas Lampung (UNILA), and Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). Each team carried out its project for about one month.

It is a living proof of implementing the creating shared value principle for Indonesia. The younger generation, with all of their aspirations, is the key source of creative ideas and innovation.
