Yogyakarta, 11 June 2021 – After successfully holding two batches attended by more than 100 participants, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) started the SYNRGY Academy program batch 3 on Friday (11/6). Adapting the implementation of the previous batch, this digital skills education scholarship program for people from all around Indonesia will be implemented online. In this 3rd batch, 79 participants were selected to join the SYNRGY Academy program for 6 months.
BCA's Senior Vice President of Digital Innovation Solutions, Adi Prasetyo Susilo, said that SYNRGY Academy is a manifestation of BCA's real action in encouraging more quality digital talents in Indonesia. “From time to time, BCA sees that people's interest in entering the digital world continues to increase. At SYNRGY Academy itself, the number of registrants for the last two batches increased from 870 to over 1.000 registrants. The participants will be equipped with technical knowledge and interpersonal skills, so that later they can become professional workers who not only have hard skills but also soft skills needed for work, "Adi said.
Adi added that participants who are declared to have graduated from the SYNRGY Academy program and are ready to work will be assisted in connecting with opportunities, both in the BCA Group and in companies under Binar Academy network, a digital learning company that has been a partner of SYNRGY Academy since its inception.
Like the previous batch, the selected participants will take part in an intensive online learning bootcamp for six months. SYNRGY Academy itself adopts a curriculum that focuses on project-based learning. This is presented with the hope that every student can learn technical knowledge as well as collaboration skills so that they can become graduates who are ready to work.
The learning process is divided into several concentrations based on various areas of expertise, including Android Engineering, Backend Engineering, Front-end Engineering, and UI/UX Design. Especially for the 3rd batch, SYNRGY Academy also opened a new concentration, namely iOS Engineering.
“Opening a new concentration is also our effort to adapt to the needs of today's industry. As a company that fully supports growth and innovation in the digital world, BCA wants to encourage the creation of a learning process that is not stagnant while at the same time encouraging the formation of digital talent relevant to the needs of the times,” said Adi Prasetyo Susilo.
In addition to undergoing bootcamp, participants of the 3rd batch of SYNRGY Academy program will be provided with additional training through one-on-one mentoring sessions and soft skill workshops from experts in various fields. It is hoped that this learning model will also foster the interpersonal skills of each participant so that they can grow into Indonesia’s proud digital talents in the future.
“The SYNRGY Academy program is one of BCA's efforts in accelerating the realisation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We hope that the SYNRGY Academy program will be a way for participants to get quality education,” concluded Adi.
