BCA Distributes Aid to Flood Affected Communities in South Kalimantan

Banjarmasin, 24 January 2021 – Through the Bakti BCA’s Corporate Social Responsibility program, BCA is moved to distribute humanitarian aid to flood affected communities in South Kalimantan. The aid was distributed through the National Armed Forces (TNI) and Nahdlatul Ulama (NU).

“On behalf of the entire family of BCA, we express our sincerest sympathy and condolences on this devastating string of floods that hit several regions in the South Kalimantan province. Surely it is not easy for any of us, not at this time when we’re still fighting against the Covid-19 pandemic. And it is in the course of our duties, as fellow countrymen, to help one another. We hope that this aid can help ease the burden on the affected communities in South Kalimantan,” said Isa Yusuf, Head of KCU BCA Banjarmasin.

Through humanitarian actions carried out alongside TNI and NU, BCA distributes relief package consisted of daily necessities such as infant formula, supplements, medicines, and staple packages. The relief package was directly submitted to TNI representative Infantry Major M. Khairul, Pasibinwanwil Sterrem 101/Ant- and Secretary of LPBI (Agency for Climate Change and Disaster Management) NU South Kalimantan Najmi Fuadi and Deputy Chief of NU South Kalimantan Hidayat.

“Hopefully the flooding in South Kalimantan will cease and life can return to normal. We also fully support the volunteers who are directly involved in coordinating relief efforts in the affected areas in South Kalimantan,” concluded Inge, EVP CSR BCA.
