Jakarta, 30 July 2025 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (IDX: BBCA) and its subsidiaries recorded an increase in total loans by 12.9% YoY to Rp959 trillion in June 2025. The growth was driven by loan disbursements in multiple segments, supported by the company’s solid liquidity position. In line with the growth in loans, funding, and transaction banking volume, BCA and its subsidiaries’ net profit grew by 8% YoY to Rp29 trillion in the first half of 2025.
“BCA achieved positive loan growth across corporate, MSME, and consumer segments. The BCA Expoversary 2025 event also supported loan disbursements in the first half of 2025. The Bank maintains discipline in prudent lending practices and strong risk management. BCA’s corporate loans grew 16.1% YoY to Rp451.8 trillion as of June 2025. Commercial loans rose 12.6% YoY to Rp143.6 trillion, and SME loans grew 11.1% YoY to Rp127 trillion. Consumer loans expanded by 7.6% YoY to Rp226.4 trillion, supported by mortgage loans which grew 8.4% to Rp137.6 trillion and vehicle loans with 5.2% growth to Rp65.4 trillion. Personal loans (primarily credit cards) grew by 9.4% YoY to Rp23.4 trillion. BCA’s loan quality remained solid, reflected in the loan at risk (LAR) ratio of 5.7% in the first half of 2025, an improvement from 6.4% in the previous year. The non-performing loan (NPL) ratio was manageable at 2.2%. NPL and LAR provisions were adequate, at 167.2% and 68.7% respectively.
Sustainable finance portfolio grew by 21.1% YoY, reaching Rp239.7 trillion as of June 2025, equivalent to 24.9% of total loans. BCA remains committed to the implementation of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles, including through electric vehicle loans amounting Rp3.2 trillion as of June 2025. BCA is relaunching Kartini’s multi-purpose loan program, offering special interest rates starting at 3.21% eff. p.a. for female entrepreneurs or businesses mainly employing women. In the commercial and SME segments engaged in Environmentally Conscious Business Activities (KUBL) and the education sector, BCA also offers special interest rates for business loans.
Total third-party funds (DPK) rose 5.7% YoY to reach Rp1,190 trillion as of June 2025. Current and savings account (CASA) funds contributed around 82.5% to total third-party funds, growing 7.3% to reach Rp982 trillion. The total number of transactions processed by BCA increased 17% YoY in the first half of 2025, growing 3.5-fold over the past 5 years. This increase in transaction frequency was supported by mobile and internet banking transactions, which increased 19% YoY.
The myBCA app is constantly enhanced, with the latest enhancement being the integration of BCA Sekuritas’ stock and bond portfolios into the myBCA app. South Korean won has also been added to myBCA’s Multicurrency Wallet (Forex Pockets), bringing the total number of foreign currencies available to 17.
“As a gesture of appreciation for our customers, BCA is presenting the Gebyar Hadiah BCA program, which runs from April 15 to July 31, 2025. BCA is committed to continuously delivering innovation and expanding the scope of its products and services in line with customer needs,” expressed Hendra Lembong.
BCA’s profit performance in the first half of 2025 was supported by interest income and non-interest income. Net interest income (NII) growth was recorded at 7% YoY to Rp42.5 trillion in the first half of 2025. At the same time, non-interest income increased by 10.6% YoY to Rp13.7 trillion. Total operating income was Rp56.2 trillion, up 7.8% YoY. The cost to income ratio (CIR) was 29.1%, down from 30.5% in the previous year.
The Genera-Z Berbakti program, a nationwide community service competition initiated by students from Bakti BCA, has reached its final stage, with four groups from different universities emerging as winners. Currently, all winning groups are implementing their programs in Bakti BCA’s assisted villages, namely Derawan, East Kalimantan; Wonokitri, Bromo, East Java; Teluk Kiluan, Lampung; and Dayun in Riau. Bakti BCA is once again conducting a halal certification workshop, with the goal of facilitating the issuance of 2,000 halal certificates for SMEs across various regions. In addition, Bakti BCA has officially launched the BCA SMEs Go Export 2025 program, aiming to support businesses in their efforts to expand into international markets. After a year supporting the revitalization of the Cikoneng Coffee Plantation in Bogor, Bakti BCA recorded a 3.5-fold rise in coffee production from all farmers under its guidance, surpassing expectations. In the education sector, BCA Berbagi Ilmu has been conducted, featuring BCA executives delivering lectures on economics, finance, and technology to thousands of students at multiple universities. Bakti BCA also continued its empowerment initiatives for individuals with disabilities (Teman Tuli) through certified makeup artist (MUA), nail art, and hairdo training. The second batch of Bakti BCA’s Deaf MUA, nail art, and hairdo training program in 2025 included 15 participants. In the health sector, Bakti BCA facilitated free cataract surgeries for 110 recipients in East Halmahera and organized two blood donation drives in partnership with the Indonesian Red Cross.
