Jakarta, 16 February 2026 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA)’s Bakti BCA Scholarship 2026 is officially kicked off, with 700 students from 20 universities selected as awardees of this annual scholarship awards. These potential and hopeful students are expected to later grow into agents of change with competitive edge, social awareness, and concrete contribution towards the nation. This hope resonates with the core values of Bakti BCA Scholarship as a proof of commitment of the company to improve and equalise the quality of higher education in Indonesia, which aligns with the priority of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) in the field of Quality Education.
The Bakti BCA Scholarship 2026 was launched online by BCA Director Antonius Widodo and the BCA EVP of Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility Hera F. Haryn, Saturday (14/2). Antonius Widodo said that the success of this year’s awardees deeply reflects their commitment, agility, and high motivation to gain financial aid to further their education.
“We all in BCA congratulate the 700 chosen Bakti Champions. Through the Bakti BCA Scholarship, BCA remains committed to support the development of human resources who are excellent and are able to compete at the highest level. Our support does not only come through the aid of educational funds, but also through soft skill capacity building and real life experience that are relevant with the professional environment,” said Antonius Widodo.
Through its “creating shared value” motto under the umbrella of Bakti BCA, the bank opened Bakti BCA Scholarship as one of the leading programs in the education sector. The program is designed to aid the awardees financially and to support their capacity building experience. The scholarship awardees are entitled to get educational financial aid which includes monthly stipend and tuition fee, and warranted an opportunity to participate in various capacity building activities for a whole year.
The capacity building programs for Bakti Champions, the name given for the Bakti BCA Scholarship awardees, include transformational workshops, Bakti Champions Movement, company visits, financial literacy, national summit, and various other activities. Bakti Champions will also join the alumni community of Bakti BCA Scholarship awardees.
“We in BCA hope that the benefit of Bakti BCA Scholarship will be widely felt, not only for the awardees themselves but also for their community, the general public, and the environment. The Bakti BCA Scholarship remains an essential part of BCA’s commitment to support the development of human resources who are excellent and competitive as well as strong in character,” Antonius Widodo continued.
This year’s Bakti BCA Scholarship awardees consist of 653 new Bakti Champions and 47 returning Bakti Champions from last year. The returning Bakti Champions are the ones who have been assessed as eligible to get financial support for another year.
The Bakti BCA Scholarship 2026 consisted of several stages, starting with registration, administration selection process, assessments, and online interviews. The program is aimed at undergraduate students (S1) in their third semester who are not married and are of maximum age of 21 until December 2026. This scholarship’s awardees do not have a mandatory employment bond with BCA. The benefits of the scholarship will be given during their fourth and fifth semester. More information about the scholarship, entry requirements and program’s rules can be accessed at Bakti BCA Scholarship’s official website at bca.id/beasiswabaktibca.
The scholarship program began in 1999 and has given benefits to more than 8,500 students with high achievement from various parts of Indonesia. The program’s alumni are organised in Bakti Champions Community, a collaborative network that supports the scholarship awardees to keep developing themselves and to contributing to the community through a wide range of initiatives.
“BCA presents Bakti BCA Scholarship as a part of our long term commitment to widen the access and the quality of higher education in Indonesia. Soon BCA will also launch Bakti Champions Hub, a digital program to connect the alumni who are now contributing from their respective fields of expertise so that they are able to be in one collaborative ecosystem. We expect that the Bakti Champions in the community will actively exchange ideas, widen their network, and build relevant collective values for their career growth and character development,” said Hera F. Haryn.
Other than granting scholarships, other BCA’s leading programs in education include Sekolah Bakti BCA, BCA Berbagi Ilmu, Disabled Community Empowerment, Financial Literacy Education, Bakti BCA Internship Program, Business and Banking Education Program, and Information and Technology Education Program.
