Genera-Z Berbakti 2026 Starts, BCA Offers Funding and Encourage University Students to Develop Tourism Villages of BCA

Jakarta, 30 March 2026 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) once again brings Genera-Z Berbakti program. Students from various universities in Indonesia are encouraged to participate, especially those who are eager to implement their innovative ideas and directly contribute to society through Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN), Community Service, or other similar activities in tourism villages nurtured by Bakti BCA.

BCA EVP Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility Hera F. Haryn explained that Genera-Z Berbakti is a call for proposal program aimed at student groups committed to make direct and concrete contributions to society.

“We see the big potential of the young generation as a part of society who is critically-minded and greatly adaptive towards technology and innovation. Genera-Z Berbakti exists as a real platform for BCA to drive university students’ innovation to be a solution for society. This is not only community service work, but also our commitment to prepare future leaders who are competent, with strong integrity, and capable of bringing positive impact for the nation towards Indonesia Emas 2045,” Hera said.

The inaugural Genera-Z Berbakti was held in 2025, resulting in four student groups from four different universities as the winners. All of the winners have done their community service work in the tourism village Bakti BCA, and received full support from coaching and training, mentoring, and funding from BCA until the program concluded.

For this second chapter, there will be another four groups chosen as Genera-Z Berbakti winners. The chosen winners are entitled to receive funding and mentorship in executing their proposed program for one month. Later, the best performing group will be selected and awarded additional appreciation in the form of prizes worth hundreds of millions rupiah and a certificate.

Each group must consist of 10-12 students from interdisciplinary majors or faculties. Candidates are allowed to choose a maximum number of two issues in their proposal. The focus issues available to choose from are:

  1. Sustainable Tourism;
  2. UMKM Development;
  3. Education;
  4. Environment;
  5. Health; and/or
  6. Culture

The following are the options for locations to do the community work available to choose by the Genera-Z Berbakti 2026 contestants:

  1. Terong Creative Tourism Village, Belitung, Bangka Belitung Island;
  2. Gunung Padang Site Tourism Village, Cianjur, West Java;
  3. Patakbanteng Tourism Village, Wonosobo, Central Java;
  4. Kakaskasen Dua Tourism Village, Tomohon, North Sulawesi.

Registration link and further details of Genera-Z Berbakti 2026 can be found in the link bca.id/generazberbakti. The program is eligible for students of universities registered under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemendikti Saintek), the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag), or other ministries/state institutions, who are currently pursuing Diploma III, Applied Bachelor, or Bachelor Degree level of education.

The registration for Genera-Z Berbakti is open until 24 April 2026. The finalists announcement will follow on 30 April. The judging phase for the finalists will take place on 16-17 May, followed by the winner announcement. Afterwards, bootcamp and send-off for the winning groups to the locations will take place in the first week of July. The program will take place in each of the locations until 6 August, before the scheduled report and the final presentation in the second week of August.

“BCA hopes that Genera-Z Berbakti 2026 can be a stimulus for university students to contribute to the nation’s development from early adulthood. This program is designed not only to bring real positive impact for society, but also to grow the leadership value, creativity, and social awareness among the young generation. We believe that the collaboration between the company and educational institutions is a form of an important collaborative work in order to create a wider and sustainable positive impact,” Hera continued.

In the 2025 edition, Genera-Z Berbakti collected more than 250 proposals from 98 public and private universities from Indonesia and abroad. The four selected teams last year came from University of Indonesia (UI), University of Lampung (UNILA), University of Sam Ratulangi (UNSRAT), and University of Gadjah Mada (UGM).
