Jakarta, 20 February 2025 – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) recently organized free health check-ups, blood donations, and free cataract surgeries to celebrate the BCA's 68th anniversary. This series of health initiatives represents the company's gratitude for nearly seven decades of serving customers and Indonesian citizens.
BCA President Director Jahja Setiaatmadja explained, “For 68 years of operating in the banking industry, BCA has understood that economic growth aligns with the overall health of the community, which serves as a foundation for the national economy. BCA remains committed to actively contributing to a better quality of life for the community, through various activities in the health sector, We believe in growing together with the community, strengthening social welfare, and fostering inclusive and sustainable economic growth”
This year's free medical check-ups were held at two different locations, which are Balai Warga RW 02 Duri Utara, West Jakarta on February 18, and Klinik Bakti Medika, Mangga Dua, Central Jakarta on February 19. All participants received health check-ups including hypertension detection, diabetes, cholesterol, until uric acid levels. Those diagnosed with health conditions were provided with initial treatment, including medication and health counseling to prevent complications.
BCA also conducted eye examinations and provided free reading glasses to 100 health check-up participants in Duri Utara. The distribution of free reading glasses is expected to support the productivity of the local community experiencing near-vision impairment.
BCA has been consistently conducting free health check-up programs since 2015 across various regions. As part of the Bakti BCA initiative, this program aims to improve public health quality to build a better future. As of 2024, more than 4,700 people have received free health check-ups from BCA.
As for the blood donation program, BCA collaborates with Indonesian Red Cross Society (PMI) and will hold the activity on 27 and 28 February in Menara BCA. From 2016 until 2024, the company has collected more than 14,100 blood bags held at BCA’s headquarters, regional offices, and branches. BCA has also been proactively conducting free cataract surgery programs in collaboration with SPBK PERDAMI since 2001, restoring vision to 9,141 cataract patients as of 2024. BCA will also carry out free cataract surgeries in four provinces in this year, 2025. This initiative aims to help reduce the prevalence of blindness caused by cataracts in Indonesia and restore patients' independence, enabling them to be productive again.

This choice is not only focused on providing the best banking products and services but also on our ability to deliver added value, including supporting social welfare through the improvement of public health quality,” said Jahja.
BCA Expoversary is Back!
As a part of the 68th anniversary celebration, BCA will once again hold BCA Expoversary 2025 at ICE BSD City, Tangerang Regency, from February 20-23. Visitors of BCA Expoversary 2025 will have the opportunity to enjoy free health check-up services, including blood sugar tests, cholesterol tests, uric acid tests, and body mass index (BMI) measurements at the Bakti BCA event area. The free health check-up area can be visited at the following times:
- Thursday, 20 February 2025 at 10.00 – 13.00 WIB
- Friday, 21 February 2025 at 13.00 – 15.00 WIB
- Saturday, 22 February 2025 at 13.00 – 16.00 WIB
- Sunday, 23 February 2025 at 13.00 – 16.00 WIB
