BCA Received Indonesia Human Capital Award for Success in Developing Human Resources Quality

Jakarta, March 30th 2016 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) takes pride in another achievement recognizing its successful strategy in developing high quality human resources. The recognition was presented at Indonesia Human Capital Award 2016 organized by Economic Review, where BCA Learning & Development Division Head Lena Setiawati received the award in Jakarta (30/3).

BCA won a total of 11 award categories, which included first place in The Best Human Capital for Public Company category Private Tbk, The Best Human Capital Business Impact, Human Capital Strategy, The Best Learning Development, and The Best Employee Engagement; second in The Best Organization Strategy, The Best Performance Management, The Best Human Capital Architecture, and The Best Human Resource Technology; as well as third in The Best Industrial Relations category. BCA also placed second in the Best Human Capital of the Year 2016 category.

"The success of an enterprise is inseparable from the quality factor of human resources (HR) that supports it. HR is seen as one of the defining elements of competitive advantage for companies. Presently, BCA actively encourages the development of human resources quality through various programs and training. For us, HR is a valuable asset and a major force in serving BCA customers," Lena explained.

Indonesia Human Capital Award recognizes Indonesian companies who pay great attention to the development of human resources quality. The award aims to encourage the practice of human resource development in Indonesia in order to improve global Human Capital Index and enhance the competitiveness and attractiveness of Human Capital. Based on evaluation of appointed judges, BCA was selected as one of the companies considered to invest greatly in developing human resources quality.

Lena added, BCA continues to update and develop training programs to allow employees to stay ahead in a dynamic business environment. Throughout 2015, the number of participants has reached 60,263 employees in 1,905 classes for 248,368 training days. The training program is designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of staff from all divisions, including payment settlement services, credit services, marketing, risk management, and internal control. Other than in-house training, BCA also provides opportunities for employees to attend external training programs according to the needs of employees or field specifications, in order to improve or develop new skills.
