BCA Holds Standard Service Training for BCA Foster Tourism Villages in Belitung

Belitung, 28 August 2018 – The role of State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) in various sectors has encouraged PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) to take the initiative to contribute to the long-term development of the Indonesian economy. Its effort was elaborated further at a National Seminar called “The Rise of SEO’s Transportation Sector’ initiated by the Center of Studies for BUMN, supported by BCA and Prof. Dr. Moestopo (Beragama) University in Jakarta, Tuesday (28/08).

The consistency of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) in developing the potential and improving the quality of Human Resources (HR) in Indonesia continues to be encouraged. Through the Prime Business Solution program, the Bank BCA realizes its commitment by organizing a Service Standard Training for BCA Foster Tourism Village Administrators in Belitung. The training was given to the administrators of three villages in Belitung, namely Bukit Peramun, Desa Terong & Desa Gunung Lumut.

Attending to open the event was Executive Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of BCA Inge Setiawati, Head of BCA Main Branch Office (KCU) Tanjung Pandan Vanessa Claudia Flaviana together with Head of Tourism Office of Belitung Regency Hermanto, Head of Culture and Tourism Office of East Belitung Regency Evinardi, and General Chairman of the National Geopark Management Board of Belitung Dyah Herowati at Pandan House Restaurant, Belitung, Tuesday (28/08).

“We see that a training should be carried out as a form of refreshment as well as a place to gain new insights and knowledge for the administrators of the BCA’s foster tourism villages, including the administrators of Tourism Villages in Belitung. Through the initiative, BCA hopes the three participating three villages will have standards in providing the best service to both domestic and foreign tourists,” explained Inge. The program was held for two consecutive days, from 28 - 29 August 2018.

The service standard training was aimed at providing the administrators of BCA Tourism Villages with better understanding of their roles and responsibilities in order to strengthen the service chains that in turn promote customer satisfaction and village success. The training was also carried out as part of BCA’s participation in its social responsibility function to engage in developing business in the community and tourism villages that can contribute to prospering the local communities.

“As a well-established institution supported by quality human resources, BCA realizes that the main asset lies within the power of its human resources. Therefore, we are moved and strive to develop BCA’s Foster Tourism Villages through quality human resources to further advance the said tourism villages. Furthermore, we believe that by ensuring the quality of human resources, the local tourism in Belitung will be widely known worldwide,” Inge concluded.

Previously, BCA had held several training programs to equip the administrators of its Foster Tourism Villages, such as Sebelumnya, Leadership Training for the Administrators of BCA Foster Tourism Villages in Sentul, Bogor, Service Excellence Training for the Administrators of Goa Pindul, Pentingsari, Wukisari, Tamansari, Tinggan-Bali Tourism Village, Belitung, and Dusun Kopi Sirap–Gunung Kelir. In addition to that, BCA also held Online Marketing Ttraining, Leadershiop Training, Team Building Training, Benchmarking Training, and Service Standardization Development at Pentingsari, Tamansari, Wirawisata, and also Creative Selling Skill Training for BCA foster tourism villages.
