Jakarta, 3 February 2021 – The trend of investment and protection trends continues to increase, as can be seen from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) data which shows the growth of new investors throughout 2020 by 28%. This figure is also further strengthened by the data from the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) which recorded the 1.1% YoY increase in investment realization rate throughout 2020. However, not a few people view investment as a confusing thing. They do not understand how to get started, what investment products are suitable, and the perception that investing is a difficult and serious topic.

BCA presents the latest features in WELMA (the Wealth Management mobile application from BCA which is used for investment products transactions, such as Mutual Funds, bonds and insurance education) to support the public's investment needs.
On this special occasion, BCA introduced the latest features of WELMA through the Virtual Press Conference. The event was attended by Deputy President Director of BCA Suwignyo Budiman, Senior Executive Vice President of Wealth Management Division of BCA Christine Setyabudhi, Executive Vice President of Wealth Management Division of BCA Adrianus Wagimin, Economist & Researcher of INDEF Bhima Yudhistira, and CEO & Founder of Ternak Uang Timothy Ronald on Wednesday (3/02).

The WELMA application can facilitate customers in conducting various investment transactions such as buying or selling mutual funds, bonds and also for insurance learning products. Various features offered by WELMA such as Auto-Subscription, which covers periodic purchases of mutual fund products, switching, redemption, performance information, portfolio and many more. To get WELMA, customers can download it through the Google Play Store or the App Store.
BCA has updated WELMA by adding the Online Single Investor Identification (SID) registration feature which further facilitates and makes it easier for customers to register an SID number as a condition for conducting investment transactions. The presence of Online SID makes customers no longer need to come to BCA branch offices or contact Halo BCA to register. With the addition of this feature, the WELMA application has become a complete mobile investment solution for BCA customers.
Christine Setyabudhi as Senior Executive Vice President of the Wealth Management Division of BCA said, “We hope that the presence of WELMA’s new features can facilitate all customers in making transactions. BCA has recorded a growth in WELMA application users, which currently have been downloaded by more than 84 thousand users and generated more than 75 thousand transactions. The WELMA application has recorded a nominal transaction of Rp 6.7 trillion as of January 2021. The transaction that recorded the largest nominal value in this application was the purchase of Retail SBN, and the highest frequency of transactions was the purchase of mutual funds.
