Jakarta, 20 June 2026 - The stage for dedication from the younger generation is about to begin. Genera-Z Berbakti, a program from PT Bank Central Asia (BCA) Tbk for students to share ideas and contribute directly to Bakti BCA-supported tourism villages, has entered the final eight.
Eight teams were selected as finalists from over 260 proposals from 98 state and private universities. The finalists came from Cenderawasih University, Airlangga University, Gadjah Mada University, Padjadjaran University, Sunan Gunung Djati State Islamic University in Bandung, IPB University, the University of Indonesia, and BINUS University.
The eight finalists will compete to prove their readiness to go directly to the destination locations in July to August 2026. The eight finalist teams' competition can be watched starting June 20 on the BCA YouTube channel (@SolusiBCA) and partner platforms.

"Through Genera-Z Berbakti, BCA strives to bridge and connect creative and innovative ideas from students with communities in various Bakti BCA-supported tourist villages. We are confident this program will have a positive impact on students and communities in the destination areas. Cross-sector collaboration like this is needed to ensure Indonesia's success in optimizing its demographic bonus and achieving the target of Indonesia Emas 2045," said Hera Haryn, BCA EVP of Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility.
Nicholas Saputra, Cinta Laura Kiehl, and Tri Mumpuni
Genera-Z Berbakti 2026 features three panelists: BCA Bakti Ambassador Nicholas Saputra, Entertainer & Sociopreneur Cinta Laura, and Scientist and Social Entrepreneur Tri Mumpuni. Cinta Laura and Tri Mumpuni are new panelists accompanying Nicholas Saputra, following the 2025 edition where BCA Bakti Ambassador Happy Salma and Professor Yohanes Surya served as panelists.
"We found the students' ideas to be very sharp. They seemed focused on exploring the problems and rationale behind the program offerings. The participants appeared enthusiastic. The students appeared better prepared with their proposals and more united," said Nicholas Saputra.
Genera-Z Berbakti 2026 has a series of interesting stories from finalists with diverse backgrounds and motivations for participating in the program. The Lestari team from Cenderawasih University (UNCEN), for example, admitted to often spending late nights on campus developing activity proposals.
"We didn't want to do things half-heartedly, so we analyzed opportunities for three consecutive days before applying. We often discussed them late into the night with the security guard," said Syahlika, a student in the UNCEN Nursing Science Study Program and a member of the Lestari team.
Tri Febriansah, a member of the DESA HIDUP group from Sunan Gunung Djati State Islamic University (UIN) Bandung, also shared a story. She said Genera-Z Berbakti allowed her to spend more time with her friends on campus. She said this was something she had never experienced before she joined Genera-Z Berbakti.
"Previously, I wasn't very active on campus and was more involved in outside activities, so I didn't have much time to spend with friends. By participating in Genera-Z Berbakti, I was able to spend more time on campus and spend time with friends to develop proposals, pitch decks, and other things. It was all memorable for me," said Tri, an Informatics Engineering student at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati.
