The program aims to help MSMEs in Batam and nearby regions improve product quality, expand business scale, and strengthen competitiveness in both domestic and global markets.

“Indonesia has tremendous potential to become a global hub for the halal industry. MSMEs play a crucial role in realizing this vision, as they dominate the business landscape in the country. Through halal certification and MSME training, BCA supports the government’s efforts to strengthen the halal industry ecosystem and promote MSME growth. We hope business owners will take full advantage of this program to improve their products and expand their market reach,” said BCA Director Hendra Tanumihardja.

In addition to covering the cost of halal certification for MSMEs, BCA helps entrepreneurs obtain a Business Identification Number (NIB) easily and free of charge. The bank helps MSMEs optimize business transactions by providing

  • online account opening

Following the training, BCA offers participants opportunities for coaching clinics and scheduled online digital marketing training.

Halal certification plays a vital role for MSMEs in boosting consumer trust, expanding market access, and enhancing product and service competitiveness, which is particularly important in Indonesia, the world’s largest Muslim-majority nation. BCA is committed to continue its halal certification program and aims to issue 2,000 halal certificates to MSMEs by 2025.

Since 2023, BCA has facilitated the issuance of 3,000 halal certificates for MSMEs across various regions. “We are excited to continue the halal certification and MSME training program this year. All training materials and mentoring sessions have been carefully designed to help MSMEs overcome business challenges, particularly within the halal framework. BCA is committed to implementing this program nationwide so that MSMEs from diverse backgrounds and sectors can benefit equally. We hope this initiative enables more outstanding MSMEs to obtain halal certification and actively contribute to strengthening the halal industry while supporting economic growth,” said BCA EVP Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility Hera F.
