Strengthening Support for MSMEs, BCA distributes Working Capital Loans to coffee shop entrepreneurs in Bali

Bali, 23 May 2024 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) has once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting the national economy by continuing to support the development of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). BCA's support for MSMEs is once again reflected in its commitment to channeling Working Capital Loans (KUR) worth more than Rp100 million to coffee shop entrepreneurs.

The BCA KUR handover was symbolically carried out by Head of Business Development Region IV Soeherdiyanto Budi Krisnandono to Debtor Lamriah Ester Febrianti on Tuesday (21/5), in Kuta, Bali. The handover took place in the middle of the Free Halal Certificate Workshop for Bali MSMEs.

BCA EVP Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility Hera F. Haryn said, "The distribution of BCA KUR to MSMEs is one of our efforts to continue to encourage MSMEs to continue to compete in the national and even international markets. BCA believes that by expanding access to capital to MSME businesses, it can encourage the development and support the growth of MSMEs, which are one of the main pillars of the national economy."

BCA offers KUR up to Rp500 million with competitive interest rates, starting from 6% effective per annum. The programme also offers other benefits such as free administration and provision fees, making financing more affordable for MSMEs. One of the main advantages of BCA's KUR programme is that the process is quick and easy, plus BCA has partnered with a channeling institution, KlikA2C. This allows MSME players to apply for financing more efficiently and practically, helping them focus on their business development efforts.

As of March 2024, BCA's sustainable finance portfolio reached Rp197.4 trillion, growing 9.1% YoY. This contributed 23.5% to the total loans disbursed by BCA. Of this amount, MSME financing reached Rp117.7 trillion. Meanwhile, as of April 2024, BCA had disbursed KUR amounting to Rp294.9 billion or 36.9% of this year's total target. BCA's KUR realization recorded a growth of 75.4% YoY, with the majority of KUR disbursed to the trade sector. BCA targets to disburse up to Rp800 billion in KUR this year, an increase of around 11% from the previous year.

Not only through financing support, BCA has been actively supporting the expansion of the industry, especially the coffee industry in Indonesia since 2021 by participating in the Indonesian Coffee Festival in Russia. In this activity, BCA involved MSME coffee entrepreneurs who graduated from the BCA UMKM Fest and BCA Bangga Lokal programmes from various regions in Indonesia. In addition, in 2023 BCA also participated in the Kopi Fest event as part of the National Movement 'Proud to be Made in Indonesia' and #Banggalokal.
