Jakarta, 27 January 2024 - As part of its commitment to support micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) partnered with PT Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Jamkrindo) to facilitate the disbursement and assurance of working capital loans (KUR). This collaboration aims to assist government programs in broadening financial accessibility for MSMEs.
This collaboration was realized through the signing of a cooperation agreement between BCA and Jamkrindo for the KUR guarantee scheme, attended by BCA Director John Kosasih and Jamkrindo Business Director Henry Panjaitan in Jakarta on Friday (26/01).
Through this collaboration, Jamkrindo guarantees the risk of non-performing loans for the disbursement of small-scale or micro KUR, enabling KUR distributing banks, especially BCA, to expand their business without worry and still maintain the quality of loan disbursement. This collaboration also allows BCA to optimize its support for the growth and development of MSMEs in Indonesia.
BCA Director John Kosasih expressed, “The partnership between BCA and Jamkrindo is a step to contribute to the development of MSMEs and accelerate economic growth in Indonesia. We recognize that the MSME sector has enormous potential to support the national economy. Through this partnership, we hope to continue increasing BCA’s KUR disbursement so that Indonesian MSMEs can produce superior products and market them not only in the domestic market but also internationally.”
BCA offers KUR of up to Rp500 million with competitive interest rates, starting from 6% effective p.a. This program also provides other benefits such as waived administrative and provision fees, making financing more accessible for MSME players. One of the main advantages of BCA’s KUR program is its quick and easy process, coupled with BCA’s collaboration with channeling institutions, namely KlikA2C. This enables MSME players to apply for financing more efficiently and practically, helping them focus on their business development efforts.
Jamkrindo Guarantee Business Director Henry Panjaitan also added, “As a guarantor institution in Indonesia, we are committed to continuing to focus on the advancement of the MSME sector. We hope that the support from BCA in terms of financing access will be a key to success in economic growth and progress, as well as in the development of MSMEs.”
As information, in 2023, BCA managed to record a 24% year-on-year increase in KUR disbursement, with KUR NPLs remaining relatively stable at 0.7%. This will continue to be improved in line with BCA's KUR realization target in 2024 of 11%. BCA realizes that there are still many potential BCA customers who could benefit from this KUR facility.
Apart from providing financing, BCA has taken another initiative to advance Indonesian MSMEs through export trade training. This training was attended by 60 selected MSMEs in Yogyakarta and Semarang in 2023. Furthermore, BCA has successfully organized BCA UMKM Fest since 2021, with approximately 1,400 MSMEs participating to promote their exceptional products. Additionally, BCA facilitates the issuance of halal certificates for MSMEs in various regions.
