Jakarta, 9 October 2023 - As part of its commitment to delivering excellent service to customers, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) has integrated BCA Paylater into myBCA, offering flexible payment services to ensure effective financial management for customers. The launch of BCA Paylater underscores the company's dedication to enhancing the digital ecosystem by providing banking services that cater to customer needs.
BCA Director Santoso explained, “BCA Paylater is a technology-driven credit facility offered by BCA through myBCA application. This feature is designed to help customers improve their cash flow management and make wiser payment plans.”
BCA Paylater offers a credit limit of up to Rp20 million, competitive installment interest rates, and flexible payment options tailored to meet the customers' needs. To introduce BCA Paylater, BCA offers special promotions, including a 0% interest rate for transactions with installment tenors of 1 and 3 months until 31 January 2024 and a 1.25% interest rate for installments of 6 and 12 months until 31 March 2024. This feature can be used for every transaction at QRIS merchants, as long as the minimum transaction value is Rp100,000. To access the BCA Paylater service, customers must first register within myBCA application.
BCA Paylater is introduced by BCA in response to the increasing popularity of ‘Buy Now Pay Later’ (BNPL) transactions among the public. The growing number of BNPL users is a result of the various conveniences provided by this service, which include easy transactions at QRIS merchants, effective budget management, flexible payment options, and competitive interest rates.
The Indonesia Financial Services Authority (OJK) has recorded a significant increase in the number of BNPL user contracts. As of May 2023, there were 72.88 million contracts, representing a year-on-year (YoY) growth of 33.25%, equivalent to 18.18 million contracts. This growth underscores BCA's commitment to enhancing the digital ecosystem within myBCA application, with the aim of delivering an improved, faster, and more user-friendly banking experience for its customers.
Santoso added, “BCA Paylater is not just about the service itself. It also involves educating customers about the various financial services that BCA has introduced to assist a more financially savvy generation in managing their finances. Our aim is for BCA Paylater to serve as a tool that meets customers' financial needs and contributes to the development of a financially educated generation.”
To introduce BCA Paylater to all customers and the public, BCA is prepared to offer attractive promotions at numerous merchants across Indonesia.
