Celebrating Financial Inclusion Month (FIM), BCA Supports FinEXPO – Sundown Run 2018 and Launches Tahapan Berjangka SiMuda

Jakarta, 27 October 2018 – In order to encourage the efforts to improve the Indonesian literacy and financial inclusion index, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) continues to make efforts manifested in various programs. This time, BCA together with other Financial Services Providers (PUJK) participated in the Financial Institutions EXPO (FinEXPO) & Sundown Run 2018 organized by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) to celebrate the Financial Inclusion Month (FIM) 2018 highlighting the theme of “Synergy in Boosting Acceleration of Financial Access and Realizing Credible Consumer Protection”.  

Attending the Financial Institutions EXPO (FinEXPO) & Sundown Run 2018 was Deputy President Director of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) Armand Wahyudi Hartono, Director of BCA Santoso, Executive Vice President of Transaction Banking Product Development of BCA Ina Suwandi, Executive Vice President of Transaction Banking Business Development Mira Wibowo, Executive Vice President of BCA Digital Center Wani Sabu, Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia Mardiasmo, Member of Commissioner Board of OJK for Education and Consumer Protection Tirta Segara and OJK Deputy Commissioner of Capital Market Supervisory Sardjito lainnya in Jakarta, Saturday (27/10).

“As part of the financial industry in Indonesia, BCA always strives to take part in improving financial literacy. That, in turn, encourages BCA to support programs initiated by the OJK, an event comprises a variety of information to further improve customer understanding as well as the general public of the importance of inclusion and consumer protection in the financial industry,” explained Armand.

The OJK-FinEXPO & Sundown Run 2018 was enlivened by various programs, including competitions for young schoolers, food carnival, and the simulatenous release of car banking service to schools in connection with the "SimPel Bank Goes to School" program.

In addition, BCA also launched Tahapan Berjangka SiMuda as a form of BCA’s commitment to continue to provide banking solutions, especially savings for the customers. Tahapan Berjangka SiMuda is a Tahapan Berjangka product aimed at young people of 18 up to 30 years of age. With routine deposits of fixed amount and time period that also includes a life insurance, customers can realize their dreams. Below is the product features of Tahaka SiMuda:

  • Savings is in Indonesian Rupiah currency
  • Minimum account period is 12 months and maxium account period is 240 months
  • Autodebit monthly deposits from TabunganKu funds
  • Automated monthly deposits are deducted from the source of fund account
  • Monthly deposits start from Rp100,000/month (multiples of Rp50,000)
  • Withdrawal is not available for the duration of the savings period
  • A customer can own more than one Tahapan Berjangka SiMuda connected to one primary account (source of funds)
  • Account ownership is identified by ownership of primary fund account

“We realize that the needs of each individual customer change throughout the stages of life. Tahapan Berjangka SiMuda is aimed at the youth who have millions of dreams. With this savings account, they will be accustomed to saving on regular basis and in turn realize their dreams,” explained Santoso.

At the event, BCA opened a booth to accommodate account opening as well as socialization. “We wish that the event can be an informative educational means – relating to financial products and services – for the general public, particularly information on BCA products. In the long term, we also hope that the financial literacy rate in Indonesia will increase and have a positive impact on improving people’s welfare,” Armand concluded.

BCA Wins Consumer Protection in the Financial Sector Award 2018 – Deputy President Director of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk Armand Wahyudi Hartono (left) received the 2018 Consumer Protection in the Financial Sector Award handed over by OJK Deputy Commissioner of Market Capital Supervisory Sardjito (second left) at FinExpo in Jakarta, Saturday (27/10). This time, BCA is considered as one of the Most Cooperative Financial Servies Actors in consumer protection. On the occasion, BCA together with OJK also launched Tahapan Berjangka SiMuda, a Tabungan Berjangka product for millennials aged 18 up to 30 years old, where customers can make monthly deposits starting from Rp100,000/month.
