This is marked by the achievement of the “Best Bank 2018” under the category of “Commercial Bank with Core Capital above Rp30 Trillion” at the Investor Best Bank Award 2018. The award was submitted by Chief Executive of the Deposit Insurance Agency (LPS) Fauzi Ichsan to Senior Vice President of Investor Relations and Corporate Strategic Alliances of BCA Rudy Budiardjo in Jakarta, Friday (29/06).

Investor Best Bank Award is an annual event organized by Investor Magazine as a form of appreciation to all banks that have successfully recorded outstanding assets and performance in the midst of fierce competition in the financial services industry. There are 12 criteria rating systems used, including capital adequacy ratio (CAR) 2017, non-performing loan (NPL) 2017, return on assets(ROA) 2017, return on equity (ROE) 2017, net interest margin (NIM) 2017, operating expense ratio (OER) 2017, loan to deposit ratio (LDR) 2017, net interest income growth, non-interest operating income growth, operating profit growth, credit growth, and cost to asset ratio. Based on the assessment conducted by the Judges Panel, BCA is honored with the Best Bank 2018 Investor Magazine version after passing the admissions selection and proved its superior performance based on core capital grouping and was awarded with the Best Bank Under the Category of Core Capital > Rp30 Trillion.
On the occasion, the Judging Panel of Investor Best Bank Award also gave appreciation to the banks that focuses on MSME lending, and banks that are committed to support infrastructure development. Responding to this, Rudy said that banks play an important role as credit distributors in providing additional capital injection to MSME actors to finance the operational expenses in starting and/or developing their businesses.
“We are confident that MSMEs has an enormous potential to grow and develop in Indonesia which, in return, is expected to contribute to drive the economy and stimulate export productivity in various regions in Indonesia. As of January-March 2018, BCA’s loan portfolio grew 15.0% Year on Year to Rp470 trillion from Rp408.69 trillion in previous period,” Rudy concluded.
