Jakarta, 18 August 2021 – To celebrate the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia in the middle of pandemic, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) is committed to cooperate with the Micro, Small, and Middle Business (UMKM) entrepreneurs in Indonesia. Through BCA’s “Bangga Lokal Kolaberaksi” (Proud Local Collaboration and Action) program, BCA encourages Indonesian UMKM entrepreneurs to remain innovative with their flagship product.
Launching ceremony of BCA’s Bangga Lokal Kolaberaksi program is done virtually, and was attended by EVP of Transaction Banking Business Development of BCA I Ketut Alam Wangsawijaya, Chief Operating Office of Kreavi Efendy Saujana, and Co-Founder of Grebe Muhammad Triangga on Wednesday (18/08). This collaboration and various local flagship products can be accessed through www.bca.co.id/banggalokal webpage.
“We support the UMKM creative industry entrepreneurs to continue their innovation so that their flagship product can attract market’s attention. BCA’s Bangga Lokal Kolaberaksi program is an initiative from BCA in cooperation with Kreavi and Grebe as facilitators for UMKM. Through this program, BCA would like to encourage Creative Creator and UMKM entrepreneur to collaborate in creating a product that include a touch of local (culture) and art. Additionally, we would also like to encourage the public to participate in this program. We hope that even in this challenging times, Indonesian UMKM will continue to grow,” said I Ketut Alam Wangsawijaya, the EVP of Transaction Banking Business Development of BCA.
In the BCA’s Bangga Lokal Koleberaksi program, there are five Creative Creator that participates in the program, namely Nibras (@astro.ruby), Erin Dwia (@erindwia), Maika Collective (@maikacollective), Popomangun (@popomangun.png) and Jamal (@lapantigatiga). As for the participating flagship products from BCA Bangga Lokal, there are Paperielab, Specialtea, SINAU Indonesia, Galada, HIA Everywear, Kavia Soapery, Engineer Workwear, Nucalale, Hamjeansku!, Dua Coffee, and Maximall Footwear. This collaboration also creates high quality flagship products .
To develop the program, BCA also pushed for the development of UMKM through a number of activities, either as virtual education via webinar or community activity. Furthermore, the company also provide a range of payment platform for the development of business and ease of transaction. BCA also performed networking and channeling, including the current action in cooperation with Kreavi and Grebe to facilitate creative creator and UMKM entrepreneurs in expanding the collaboration idea.
“This is a pretty amazing initiative, collaborating UMKM with creators or creative entrepreneurs. We know that in this online shopping era, creative content and messaging have a unique value and their own attractiveness. Collaboration between UMKM with creators will certainly become a new power and BCA Bangga Lokal is pretty sharp in recognizing this,” said Anto Motulz, the Representative of Kreavi.
For your information, BCA has organized BCA Bangga Lokal program back in November 2020. Up until now, the said program has include more than 500 local brands which consist of UMKM from various industries such as Heatlh and Beauty, Fashion, Food and Beverages, and even Hobby and Activities. Additionally, BCA also cooperates with marketplace and online service such as: Blibli, Shopee, Tokopedia, Bukalapak, Lazada, and Grab who offer a wide range of local products with attractive discount.
“In line with BCA’s effort to expedite the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), this program also implement the said aspect. We hope that this program will give a positive impact to all UMKM in Indonesia and to encourage them to leave the uncertain situation.
