Padang Pariaman, 20 December 2025 – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA), through its Bakti BCA initiative, organized the "Let’s Prevent Stunting" (Ayo Cegah Stunting/ACS) campaign in Nagari Guguak, Padang Pariaman Regency, West Sumatra, on Wednesday (17/12). This effort is part of Bakti BCA’s commitment to strengthening community-based stunting prevention. The campaign also marked an important moment to reinforce collective commitment to fostering sustainable behavioral changes in nutrition and health at the family and community levels.
The ACS program has been implemented since 2024, starting with an assessment of local conditions and regional potential to inform the design of community-based interventions. The program further focuses on strengthening its foundation through community capacity building, the engagement of local champions, and several educational activities aimed at promoting improvements in nutrition and health outcomes at the family and community levels.
In 2025, the ACS Program was continued with more comprehensive strengthening efforts, including increased capacity building for community health cadres, the use of digital systems to support program monitoring, and the reinforcement of adolescents’ roles as agents in spreading positive messages on nutrition and health. In addition to Nagari Guguak, the ACS campaign was also carried out in Taman Indah Village, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.
BCA Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility EVP Hera F. Haryn stated, “Stunting prevention is a long-term process that requires changes in nutrition and health practices at the family and community levels. Through the ACS Program, Bakti BCA focuses on strengthening community capacity and self-reliance, from pregnancy through adolescence. We hope these efforts will raise awareness and drive holistic behavioral change in stunting prevention across communities.”
As part of the campaign series in Nagari Guguak, Bakti BCA launched the Ayo Cegah Stunting program monitoring dashboard. The dashboard was developed as a digital system that enables integrated health post (posyandu) cadres and healthcare workers to record, monitor, and analyze child growth more quickly and accurately. Equipped with simple data visualization features, the dashboard helps detect stunting risks at an early stage while also providing a comprehensive overview of nutritional conditions at the village level. The introduction of this dashboard is expected to serve as a breakthrough in strengthening collaboration among communities, healthcare workers, and local governments, allowing interventions to be more targeted and effective.
In addition to strengthening the monitoring system, Bakti BCA also distributed two fetal monitor units, one each to Kayu Tanam Community Health Center (Puskesmas Kayu Tanam) in Nagari Guguak, Padang Pariaman, West Sumatra, and Pringgarata Community Health Center (Puskesmas Pringgarata) in Taman Indah Village, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. This distribution reflects Bakti BCA’s support in improving maternal health monitoring in both intervention areas. The availability of fetal monitors is expected to help healthcare workers conduct more optimal fetal assessments, improve the quality of pregnancy monitoring, and support early detection of potential risks during pregnancy.
The campaign also featured a call to consume iron supplementation tablets, along with the presentation of appreciation awards and certificates to parties actively involved in the program, including local champions, posyandu cadres, and participants of the Isi Piringku dalam Pekaranganku Field School (Sekolah Lapangan Isi Piringku dalam Pekaranganku) and the Adolescent Field School (Sekolah Lapangan Remaja). Participants of the Adolescent Field School were also formally appointed as Adolescent Stunting Ambassadors, reinforcing the role of young people in spreading positive messages on nutrition, health, stunting prevention, and healthy lifestyles within their communities.
As part of the activities, program participants also showcased various good practices resulting from field implementation. The showcase featured food demonstration plots (demplot pangan) utilizing home garden land, including crops such as eggplant, papaya, tomatoes, chilies, and celery, as well as the presentation of healthy menus that meet balanced nutrition standards for toddlers, pregnant women, and adolescents. Through this activity, community members shared experiences and lessons learned on contextual stunting prevention efforts aligned with local potential.
“The ACS Program focuses on strengthening community capacity and self-reliance. In this context, ACS complements government interventions in ensuring that improvements in nutrition and health practices can be sustained at the family and community levels,” explained Hera F. Haryn.
As of 10 November 2025, a total of 1,050 families and 97 pregnant women have received nutrition assistance through the ACS Program. In addition, 1,221 adolescents have been educated on stunting prevention, 44 ACS cadres have undergone capacity building, two posyandu have been designated as pilot sites, one monitoring application has been launched, and 23,815 plant seedlings have been distributed to strengthen household food and nutrition security.
