Continuously Getting The Digital Generation Ready, BCA SYNRGY Academy's 5th Batch Has Successfully Generated 86 New Digital Talents


Jakarta, April 12, 2023 - The growing demand for digital talent has motivated a large number of individuals, including recent graduates and those seeking a career change, to strive to develop the necessary skills for the digital workforce. This keen interest is evident through the high level of interest shown by applicants for the SYNRGY Academy, a corporate social responsibility (CSR) program by PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) in partnership with BINAR.

The program, which has reached its fifth batch, attracted nearly 3,000 applicants who were then strictly selected into 129 bootcamp participants. For a duration of six months, the participants received intensive learning from August 2022 to February 2023. They are divided into several bootcamp classes including Quality Assurance, Full-stack Web Development, UI/UX Research & Design, Backend Java, Android Engineering, and Cyber Security.

During the learning process, participants were able to utilize project-based learning to analyze and solve community problems. This enabled them to apply the knowledge gained directly.

BINAR's Director of Operations, Seto Lareno said, "Our commitment to developing digital talents to the fullest extent possible is demonstrated through the collaboration between BCA and BINAR via BCA SYNRGY Academy. We are prepared to provide support for this program and make available space for other government or private institutions interested in offering comparable scholarships."

Seto emphasized the need to enhance character development among talent in order to succeed in the digital age and produce well-rounded individuals. The curriculum developed by BINAR for SYNRGY Academy has been used by BCA for over two years and has been adopted by top brands across different sectors.

Throughout the 5th batch of the SYNRGY program, participants enjoyed numerous benefits and advantages. These included direct instruction from experienced mentors in the field of digital product development, acquisition of skills that align with industry demands, hands-on experiential learning, a comprehensive curriculum, intensive six-month classes, and access to non-technical skill enhancement via free workshop sessions. Moreover, each participant was afforded the chance to work within the BCA Group and received support in securing employment opportunities as a BINAR bootcamp alumnus through Job Connect.

"The Final Project was the most remarkable experience for me, as it entailed the application of both hard and soft skills. By enrolling in the SYNRGY program, students not only acquire knowledge pertinent to their selected courses but also develop practical abilities that are commonly utilized in their future careers. This was a crucial milestone for me as I took a major step towards entering the professional world," said Rindho Ananta, SYNRGY Academy Batch 5 Full-stack Web Development class participant.

Meanwhile, BCA EVP Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility Hera F. Haryn said, "BCA's SYNRGY Academy is a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative aimed at promoting Indonesia's digital economy by nurturing talent. It is our aspiration that this program will boost the number of qualified local digital professionals who align with industry demands.

BCA SYNRGY Academy Batch 5 Graduation - The program, which has reached its fifth batch, received close to 3,000 applications, out of which only 129 participants were selected after a stringent screening process. These individuals underwent rigorous training for six months, from August 2022 to February 2023. The participants were grouped into several bootcamp classes, including Quality Assurance, Full-stack Web Development, UI/UX Research & Design, Backend Java, Android Engineering, and Cyber Security. On February 21, 2023, after completing the intensive training, a total of 86 participants from BCA SYNRGY Academy Batch 5 graduated from the program.
