BCA Offered Softskill Training to Increase Foster School Teaching Quality

Tangerang, 4 August 2016 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) reaffirmed its attention to national children education. BCA’s support was manifested in the Bakti BCA Foster School Teacher Training, held for two days from Thursday to Friday, 4-5 August 2016 with the theme "Great Teacher, Great Students". Head of CSR BCA Sapto Rachmadi, SMAN 1 Gadingrejo Principal Jumani Darjo, SMP Negeri 1 Gadingrejo Principal Heru Siswanto, and SMPN 6 Serang Principal A B E Widanarto attended the opening event of the training session on Thursday (4/8) in Tangerang.

"Under this program, BCA provides education to faculty of junior secondary and senior secondary schools on educational challenges of the 21st century, building the habit of thinking right, speaking right and acting right, as well as an exploration of teaching activities that corresponde to principles of active, creative, and fun. At the end of the training, teachers will hopefully have a new paradigm responding to the educational challenges of the 21st century, the development of positive qualities in personal life and work, as well as improvement of active, creative and fun teaching methods," Sapto noted.

Teacher training at Bakti BCA foster schools reflected BCA’s real concern and attention in developing quality educators. BCA invited teachers from four Bakti BCA foster schools in Serang and Lampung: SMP Negeri 6 Serang, SMA Negeri 3 Kota Serang, SMP Negeri 1 Gadingrejo, SMA Negeri 1 Gadingrejo. Each school sent 10 SMP participants and 15 high school participants. "BCA is grateful and proud to participate in improving the quality of education in Serang and Lampung. We hope our contribution will bring positive changes to teachers, students, and schools," he continued.

Previously, similar activities have been conducted for foster school teachers in Yogyakarta in October 2015. Teacher training is an implementation of one of the pillars Bakti BCA, which is Intelligent Solutions. "Through the Intelligent Solutions pillar, BCA continues to focus and tend to the advancement of quality human resources (HR) to improve public education in Indonesia. By providing teacher training to Bakti BCA foster schools, we hope to produce highly qualified national sons and daughters," Sapto concluded.
