Hogianto said that devoting oneself to being a teacher is not easy because it requires a wise and responsible attitude to educate the next generation of the nation that will make Indonesia proud. Through the Bakti BCA CSR program, the training provided to teachers is expected to improve the optimal competence of students in implementing quality education and evaluating learning practices on an ongoing basis.
“The rapid technological transformation has also triggered various challenges for Indonesian students, including the change in the 2013 curriculum. Therefore, BCA will provide education and practical solutions for teachers, so that they can improve teaching skills in accordance with educational standards in Indonesia as a role model for students in behavior and speech. On the other hand, this training is also expected to provide added value for the development of the characteristics of each individual teacher to be more positive both in personal and work life,” added Hogianto.
This year, the teacher training of the target schools will be focused on Eastern Indonesia, NTT, and NTB. The training participants will be attended by the principal, vice principal, and all teachers at the junior and senior high school levels.
Caring for educators in Indonesia is part of BCA's efforts to help local communities develop. The continuity of an empowerment program carried out by BCA cannot be separated from efforts to pass on values and virtues as agents of change from an early age through teacher training by CSR Bakti BCA.
Teacher training is not only to improve skills, but also to shape teachers to get used to critical thinking and solutions to deal with education that is adapting to current technological advances. “Through the Smart Solutions pillar, BCA will continue to strive to support teacher training programs that can provide innovation to continue to create teaching styles that continue to adapt to the times. We also hope that teachers can create a conducive and fun learning environment for students, but still shape the student characters with quality and morals,” concluded Hogianto.
