National Customer Day, BCA Continues to Present Service Innovations for Customers

Jakarta, 4 September 2020 – September is a special time for companies/institutions to celebrate the National Customer Day, a moment to appreciate customer loyalty. The National Customer Day serves as the driving force that motivates PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) to continue to create quality products and services for customers throughout the nation. At the end of June 2020, BCA was recorded serving 22.5 million customer accounts, processing approximately 30 million transactions every day through 1,251 branches, 17,360 ATMs, and the 24-hr internet and mobile banking services and contact center Halo BCA.

“This National Customer Day feels different from the previous year, we usually greet customers directly in our branch offices, this year we cannot do that due to the Covid-19 pandemic. However, we believe that there’s a strong sense of togetherness through our commitment to provide optimal banking services to customers in Indonesia,” explained Jahja Setiaatmadja, President Director of BCA.

Jahja added that for more than 63 years, BCA has provided financial transaction services to customers and we realize that customer loyalty is one of the keys to our success. In today’s digital era, it is imperative for a company to continue to create innovations that are tailored to people’s needs.

BCA continues to present latest innovation in its products and services so as to keep up with customer needs amid today’s developing digitalization trend. About 98% of the transactions at BCA are digital. BCA recorded that the transaction value of mobile banking BCA saw a growth of 30.4% YoY and BCA internet banking a 5.7% YoY growth as of the first semester 2020.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, we continue to carry out various development initiatives through our digital channels to support #BankingFromHome, the ease of conducting transactions from home. If a customer still needs branch services, BCA branch offices remain open, with regard to health protocols for customers and employees, such as wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, body temperature checks, and sanitation routines in and out the facility and infrastructure of the branch offices.
