Additional Information

  • Poket Rupiah can be accessed through myBCA, which is connected to the customer's account. The selected customer account will hereinafter be referred to as the main account.
  • Customers can close their Poket Rupiah through myBCA or other BCA channels, which will be notified to customers by BCA in any form and through any means in accordance with applicable laws. If there are still funds in the Poket Rupiah when the customer closes it, the closure will be carried out simultaneously with the transfer of all funds in the Poket Rupiah to the main account.
  • If there are still Poket Rupiahs connected to the account, the customer cannot close the account.
  • Customers can set a Poket Rupiah Lock so that funds in the locked Poket Rupiah cannot be transacted until the Poket Rupiah Lock is unlocked through an ATM or BCA branch office.
  • The transaction limit for transfers to yourself follows the limit currently applicable on myBCA.
  • BCA will inform you of any changes to the benefits, fees, risks, terms and conditions of this Product and/or Service through any means in accordance with applicable laws.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR RUPIAH POCKET PT BANK CENTRAL ASIA Tbk (BCA)


A. DEFINITIONS

  1. E-Statement means a statement containing information regarding transactions on the Account, issued monthly by BCA in soft-copy form and accessible to the Customer through BCA’s electronic banking facilities or other channels/media made available by BCA.
  2. Calendar Day means any day from Monday through Sunday following the international calendar.
  3. Terms and Conditions means these Terms and Conditions for Rupiah Pocket at PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (“BCA”).
  4. Transaction Limit means the minimum and/or maximum amount of Transaction that the Customer can make.
  5. Customer means an individual that owns a TAHAPAN BCA, Tahapan Xpresi, Tapres BCA account, or any other type of account that may be designated as an Account in accordance with the provisions applicable at BCA.
  6. Rupiah Pocket (Poket Rupiah) means a pocket of funds denominated in rupiah, which constitutes a sub-account that is linked to the Account.
  7. Account means the Customer's account that is designated as the main account for Rupiah Pocket.
  8. Transaction means any financial transaction on Rupiah Pocket, such as fund transfers, top-ups, and other transactions as may be hereafter determined by BCA, which can be conducted through the mobile and web versions of myBCA or other channels specified by BCA.
  9. Pocket Lock means a feature available for Rupiah Pocket that serves to lock all funds maintained in Rupiah Pocket, preventing the funds in Rupiah Pocket from being used as a source of funds for any Transaction. 

B. GENERAL TERMS

  1. To obtain Rupiah Pocket, the Customer must first:
    1. ensure that the Customer’s data on record with BCA is up to date; and
    2. designate the Account.
  2. To access and use the Customer’s Rupiah Pocket, the Customer must ensure that their BCA ID remains linked to the Account, which serves as the main account for the Customer’s Rupiah Pocket.
  3. If the Customer makes an initial deposit when creating Rupiah Pocket, the account from which the initial deposit is debited will automatically become the main account for the relevant Rupiah Pocket.
  4. The Account must meet the following criteria:
    1. the Account is a TAHAPAN BCA, Tahapan Xpresi, Tapres BCA account, or any other account type as may be hereafter determined by BCA and notified by BCA to the Customer in any form and through any means in accordance with applicable law;
    2. the Account is not a Customer Fund Account (RDN) or Lender Fund Account (RDL);
    3. the Account is not a joint account, a ‘guardian’ account, and/or a ‘trustee’ account; and
    4. the Account is not blocked (can be used for debit and credit transactions).
  5. Under certain considerations, BCA may reject the creation of Rupiah Pocket requested by the Customer, among other things, if the Account is blocked prior to the creation of Rupiah Pocket or the Customer is found on the List of Suspected Terrorists and Terrorist Organizations (DTTOT) and the List of Financing of the Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction (DPPSPM).
  6. Each Customer may have 1 (one) or more Rupiah Pockets linked to 1 (one) Account.
  7. BCA reserves the right to determine the maximum number of Rupiah Pockets that may be linked to the Account, which will be notified by BCA to the Customer in any form and through any means according to applicable law.
  8. Rupiah Pocket cannot be used as a special account for Foreign Exchange from Natural Resources Export Proceeds (DHE SDA), even if the Account is a DHE SDA account.
  9. The balance in Rupiah Pocket cannot be utilized as a source of funds for Autodebit, Autocollection, Payroll, and such other transactions that may be hereafter determined by BCA and notified by BCA to the Customer in any form and through any means according to applicable law.
  10. The Customer must bear the fees arising in connection with the provision and use of Rupiah Pocket, including, among other things, the administration fee for each Rupiah Pocket, Transaction fee, and other fees and charges in accordance with the provisions applicable at BCA. BCA may at any time change the amounts of such fees that will be notified to the Customer in any form and through any means according to applicable law. BCA will directly debit the fees arising in connection with the provision and use of Rupiah Pocket from Rupiah Pocket, the Account, and/or any other accounts owned by the Customer at BCA in accordance with the provisions applicable at BCA.
  11. In the event of the Customer’s death, BCA has the right to request any documentation of heirship as may be required by BCA as the basis for releasing the balance in Rupiah Pocket to the rightful heirs named in the documentation of heirship. Upon release of the balance in the deceased Customer’s Rupiah Pocket to the rightful heirs or their agents according to the documentation of heirship, BCA is released and forever discharged from any further liability whatsoever in connection with the Customer’s Rupiah Pocket.
  12. As long as the Customer still has outstanding debts to BCA under any credit facility, L/C, bank guarantee or any guarantee provided by the Customer (borgtocht), interest, facility fee (provisi), Cheque/Bilyet Giro book charges, stamp duty, bills of exchange, promissory notes or other commercial papers signed by the Customer as an acceptor, endorser, or drawer, guarantor or otherwise as a consequence of the use of a credit card or any other fees or obligations arising from anything whatsoever, BCA is entitled and to the extent necessary is hereby authorized by the Customer to debit the Customer’s Rupiah Pocket, the Account and/or other accounts owned by the Customer at BCA and apply the proceeds therefrom to repay any amounts at any time owing to BCA. Any consequences arising from the debiting of such Rupiah Pocket, the Account, and/or other accounts owned by the Customer at BCA shall be the full responsibility of the Customer.
  13. The Customer must not utilize Rupiah Pocket and/or the balance in Rupiah Pocket for conducting transactions or receiving funds from any transactions and/or businesses that violate and/or contradict the applicable law, including but not limited to money laundering, terrorism financing, funding the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, illegal investments, fraud, gambling, narcotics, and other criminal acts.
  14. BCA reserves the right to block Rupiah Pocket, delay, or reject any transaction on Rupiah Pocket and/or close Rupiah Pocket or terminate business relationship with the Customer, among other things, if the Customer:
    1. fails to comply with or violates the prevailing law;
    2. fails to provide any information and supporting documents as required by prevailing law;
    3. is found to have used and/or is reasonably suspected of using false documents and/or providing incorrect data to BCA;
    4. provides questionable information; and/or
    5. has a source of transaction funds known to come from and/or reasonably suspected of coming from a criminal act;
    6. utilizes Rupiah Pocket and/or the balance in Rupiah Pocket for conducting transactions or receiving funds from any transactions and/or businesses that violate and/or contradict the applicable law, including but not limited to money laundering, terrorism financing, funding the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, illegal investments, fraud, gambling, narcotics, and other criminal acts
    7. is found on the List of Suspected Terrorists and Terrorist Organizations (DTTOT) and the Funding List for the Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction (DPPSPM).
  15. The funds deposited in Rupiah Pocket are insured by the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) up to the maximum limit set by the LPS. The LPS does not cover any deposits with interest rates exceeding the maximum interest rates stipulated by the LPS.
  16. By using Rupiah Pocket, the Customer agrees to comply with and to be bound by the Terms and Conditions and all procedures applicable at BCA governing the provision of Rupiah Pocket. BCA has the right to amend, supplement, or replace the Terms and Conditions for Rupiah Pocket at any time and will notify the Customer of such amendment, supplementation, or replacement in any form and through any means according to applicable law.
  17. If:
    1. there is an administrative/posting error made by BCA;
    2. BCA has processed the Transaction but the relevant Rupiah Pocket or the Account from which the Transaction funds originate fails to be debited; or
    3. BCA has processed the Transaction but the relevant Rupiah Pocket or the Account into which the Transaction funds were to be paid has failed to be credited;
      then BCA has the right to make necessary debit or credit corrections to the relevant Rupiah Pocket or Account in the amount of the Transaction previously processed by BCA.
  1. BCA reserves the right to reject the Customer’s request to close the Account as long as there is still a Rupiah Pocket linked to the Account.

 C. RUPIAH POCKET CREATION

  1. The Customer can create Rupiah Pocket through the mobile and web versions of myBCA or other channels hereafter specified by BCA, which will be notified by BCA to the Customer in any form and through any means according to applicable law.
  2. The Customer guarantees that all data provided by the Customer to BCA in connection with the creation of Rupiah Pocket is correct, complete, and The Customer is fully responsible for any consequences and losses arising in connection with any incorrectness, incompleteness, and/or inaccuracy of the data provided by the Customer to BCA in connection with the creation of Rupiah Pocket. 

D. TERMS FOR RUPIAH POCKET TRANSACTIONS

  1. The Customer can conduct Transactions through the mobile and web versions of myBCA or other channels hereafter specified by BCA.
  2. If the Account and/or Rupiah Pocket is blocked, the Customer will not be able to conduct any Transactions through Rupiah Pocket.
  3. When conducting a Transaction, the Customer must comply with all provisions applicable at BCA, including, but not limited to, the Transaction Limit.
  4. The Customer can conduct the following transactions through Rupiah Pocket:
    1. transfer funds from Rupiah Pocket to the Account or to another Rupiah Pocket with the same main Account as the source Rupiah Pocket; and
    2. top up Rupiah Pocket using funds from the Account or from another Rupiah Pocket with the same main Account as the Rupiah Pocket to be topped up in accordance with the provisions applicable at BCA.
  5. If the Customer intends to conduct a Transaction using funds from Rupiah Pocket, the Customer must ensure that sufficient funds are available in that Rupiah Pocket. BCA has the right not to process the Transaction if the balance in the Rupiah Pocket used as the source of funds is insufficient to process the Transaction as instructed by the Customer.
  6. The complete and binding Transaction data for the Customer shall be the Transaction data stated in the E-Statement.
  7. The Customer guarantees that all data provided by the Customer to BCA in connection with a Transaction is correct, complete, and accurate. The Customer shall be fully responsible for any consequences or losses arising from any incorrectness, incompleteness, and/or inaccuracy of the data provided to BCA in connection with a Transaction.
  8. In the event of a failure in the crediting or transfer of funds for a Transaction conducted through Rupiah Pocket, the Customer hereby instructs BCA to credit or transfer back the funds that failed to be credited or transferred to the source Rupiah Pocket or to the source account held at another bank, after deducting the Transaction fees and any other obligations of the Customer to BCA (if any). If the Rupiah Pocket used as the source of funds for the Transaction has been closed, the funds will be credited/transferred to the Account and/or any other account of the Customer maintained with BCA.
  9. For the purpose of conducting a Transaction (including registering destination accounts for the Transaction) through facilities provided by BCA, other banks, or non-bank institutions, the Customer hereby authorizes BCA to:
    1. display the name and/or Account and Rupiah Pocket numbers on BCA’s facility used to conduct the Transaction;
    2. provide such data as names and/or Account and Rupiah Pocket numbers to other banks, non-bank institutions, and other parties cooperating with other banks or non-bank institutions to be displayed on the facilities used to conduct the Transaction.
      The display of names and/or Account and Rupiah Pocket numbers allows the customer making the Transaction to confirm the transaction details and minimize the possibility of incorrect transfers.
  10. For the purpose of conducting a Transaction and for verification/confirmation of the status of the Transaction conducted by the Customer to a fund account, virtual account, or other media that can receive funds or be used as a means of sending funds/payments through BCA branch offices, facilities provided by BCA, other banks, or non-bank institutions, the Customer hereby authorizes BCA to:
    1. display names and/or Account and Rupiah Pocket numbers on account transaction activity information and statements issued by BCA;
    2. provide such data as names and/or Account and Rupiah Pocket numbers to other parties that process the Transaction, or to virtual account facility recipients or any other media that can receive funds or that can be used as a means of sending funds/payments, or to other parties that receive funds from the Transaction conducted by the Customer.

 E. RECURRING TOP-UPS VIA AUTODEBIT

  1. The Customer may top up Rupiah Pocket automatically using funds from the Account in accordance with the schedule set by the Customer through the Recurring Autodebit Top-Up feature available on myBCA or through other means designated by BCA.
  2. For this purpose, the Customer hereby authorizes BCA to debit the Account and credit the debited funds to Rupiah Pocket in accordance with the schedule determined by the Customer
  3. If:
    1. the Account cannot be debited for any reason whatsoever (including if the Account is subject to a no debit block); and/or
    2. Rupiah Pocket cannot receive incoming funds (credit transactions) for any reason whatsoever (including if the Rupiah Pocket is subject to a no credit block),
      BCA shall have the right, at its sole discretion, to discontinue the top-up of the relevant Rupiah Pocket using funds from the Account.

 F. CLOSURE OF RUPIAH POCKET

  1. The Customer can close Rupiah Pocket through the mobile and web versions of myBCA or other channels hereafter specified by BCA.
  2. The Customer may not close Rupiah Pocket if Rupiah Pocket is blocked.
  3. Notwithstanding the provisions set out in Points F.1 and F.2 above:
    1. BCA has the right to close Rupiah Pocket, among other things, if:
      1. the Customer violates these Terms and Conditions, whether in part or in whole;
      2. BCA ceases to provide Rupiah Pocket; or
      3. there are laws or orders from any banking supervisory authority prohibiting the provision of Rupiah Pocket.
    2. BCA may deactivate the Customer's Rupiah Pocket upon 30 (thirty) Calendar Days’ notice to the Customer prior to the intended closure date.
    3. Rupiah Pocket will be automatically closed by the system if:
      1. the Customer does not have any balance in the Rupiah Pocket; and
      2. there have been no debit or credit transactions on the relevant Rupiah Pocket for 12 (twelve) consecutive months; and
      3. Rupiah Pocket is not locked.
  4. If the Customer still has outstanding obligations when Rupiah Pocket is closed, the Customer remains obligated to fulfill such obligations. For the avoidance of doubt, if there is a need for BCA to make debit or credit corrections to the Transaction, BCA will make the necessary adjustments to the Transaction on the Customer's account at BCA.
  5. If there is any remaining balance in the Rupiah Pocket that will be closed for any reason, the balance in the Rupiah Pocket, including any interest thereon (if any), will be credited by BCA to the Account.

 G. INTEREST CALCULATION AND PAYMENT

  1. Each Rupiah Pocket will earn interest in accordance with the interest rate applicable at BCA, calculated based on the balance and the interest rate applicable at BCA.
  2. Interest will be credited at the end of each relevant month and will be directly credited or added to the balance of each Rupiah Pocket as recorded in BCA’s books.
  3. BCA reserves the right to change the applicable interest rate at any time, which will be notified to the Customer in any form and through any means.
  4. All interest income is subject to tax in accordance with the prevailing tax regulations, and such tax shall be borne by the Customer.

H. TRANSACTION DATA

  1. The complete and binding Transaction data for the Customer is the Transaction data stated in the E-Statement.
  2. If the Customer intends to print the account activity in the passbook of the Account (“Passbook”), the following provisions apply:
    1. The Rupiah Pocket transaction data that can be printed in the Passbook consists of:
      1. data of Transactions from the Account to Rupiah Pocket; and/or
      2. data of Transactions from Rupiah Pocket to the Account.
    2. The data of Rupiah Pocket Transactions that are not sourced from funds maintained in the Account will not be printed in the Passbook. Accordingly, not all transaction data will be printed in the Passbook.
  3. The total balance of the Account does not include the total balance of Rupiah Pocket.

 I. RUPIAH POCKET LOCK

  1. The Customer may use the Pocket Lock feature through the mobile and web versions of the myBCA application specifically for Rupiah Pocket.
  2. If the Customer has activated the Pocket Lock, the unlocking of such Pocket Lock can only be performed by the Customer through a BCA Automated Teller Machine (ATM) or the nearest BCA branch office.
  3. Once Rupiah Pocket is locked, the Customer cannot conduct any outgoing transactions from Rupiah Pocket until the Pocket Lock is unlocked by the Customer. The locked Rupiah Pocket may continue to receive incoming fund credits.
  4. Notwithstanding the provisions of item I.3 above, BCA reserves the right to debit Rupiah Pocket, whether locked or unlocked, among other things, in circumstances where the Customer has outstanding obligations or overdue payments to among other things, BCA.
  5. The Customer cannot close any Rupiah Pocket that is locked.

 J. COMPLAINT HANDLING

  1. Any complaints about Rupiah Pocket can be lodged by the Customer with BCA through a BCA branch office or HALO BCA. For the purposes of handling such complaints, BCA has the right to ask the Customer to submit a copy of the Customer’s identity and other supporting documents.
  2. BCA will respond to complaints in accordance with applicable law. Further information regarding BCA’s complaint handling procedures is available at id/penangananpengaduan.

K. FORCE MAJEURE

In the event BCA is unable to execute a transaction instruction from the Customer, whether partially or wholly, due to events or causes beyond the control or capability of BCA, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, riots, equipment/system/transmission breakdown, power failures, telecommunication disruptions, government policies prohibiting BCA from providing Rupiah Pocket, or other events or causes beyond the control and capability of BCA, then the Customer hereby holds BCA harmless against all claims of any kind in connection therewith.

L. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

  1. The Customer agrees that any dispute or difference of opinion arising from and/or in connection with the implementation of these Terms and Conditions shall be resolved in an amicable manner.
  2. Any dispute or difference of opinion that cannot be amicably resolved between the Customer and BCA shall be resolved by means of banking mediation at Bank Indonesia or the Financial Services Authority or by means of mediation through an Alternative Dispute Resolution Institution set out in the List of Alternative Dispute Resolution Institutions established by the Financial Services Authority (OJK).
  3. Any dispute or difference of opinion that cannot be resolved in an amicable manner, by banking mediation, and/or by means of mediation as described in Point L.2 above shall be resolved through the District Court of Central Jakarta, without prejudice to BCA's right to file a suit or claim at any other District Court within the territory of the Republic of Indonesia.

M. LANGUAGE

These Terms and Conditions are made and executed in 3 (three) language versions, namely Indonesian, English, and Mandarin Chinese. In the event of any discrepancy in interpretation between the Indonesian, English, and Mandarin Chinese versions, the Indonesian version shall prevail. 

The Customer hereby confirms that the Customer fully understands and agrees to these Terms and Conditions for Rupiah Pocket of PT BANK CENTRAL ASIA Tbk (“BCA”) as described above and that BCA has provided explanations to and sought confirmation from the Customer of their understanding of the benefits, fees, and risks, as well as the rights and obligations associated with Rupiah Pocket.
