BCA Collaborates with TNI to Deliver Humanitarian Aid to the Affected Communities in Sibolga

Jakarta, 29 November 2025 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) through its Bakti BCA collaborated with the Indonesia National Armed Forces (TNI) to deliver humanitarian aid to communities affected by floods and landslides in Sibolga, North Sumatra. The city is one of the areas that has been among the hardest hit following days of severe weather.

The handover took place at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, Jakarta, on Friday (28/11). EVP Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility BCA Hera F. Haryn formally presented the aid to Colonel Jimmy Rihi Tugu (Paban V Bakti Ster TNI) and Lieutenant Colonel Heri Budiasto (Pabandia I Opster Ban V Ster TNI). The aid includes essential supplies such as food staples, drinking water, blankets, baby diapers, medicine, multivitamins, and emergency equipment including tents and portable beds. Distribution is being coordinated closely with local authorities and TNI/Indonesian National Police (Polri) to ensure swift and targeted delivery on the ground.

“BCA extends the deepest condolences and concern to the people of Sibolga and other affected areas in North Sumatra. We hope that recovery efforts can progress quickly through strong collaboration between government agencies, civil society, TNI, Polri, and the private sector. Our priority is to support the community’s social and economic recovery, and we hope Sibolga can return to normalcy soon,” said BCA EVP of Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility Hera F. Haryn.

BCA’s aid is intended to help fulfill basic needs and ease the burden on affected families during the recovery phase. The company continues to monitor conditions in North Sumatra and is ensuring that aid is delivered efficiently and appropriately.

As of Friday afternoon (28/11), the disaster has affected operations at BCA’s Sibolga Sub-Branch Office and several ATMs in the area. All BCA employees in the region have been confirmed safe. Temporary service closures have been implemented as a precautionary measure to ensure customer safety, while restoration efforts are underway.
