Notice of Stamp Duty Charge on Securities Transaction Confirmation Document

In relation to the publication of Law Number 10 of 2020 concerning Stamp Duty (“Stamp Duty Law”) and Government Regulation Number 3 of 2022 concerning Provision of Exemption Facility from the Stamp Duty Charge, we hereby notify the following information:

  1. BCA will issue electronic confirmation document for securities transactions that Customer conduct daily through BCA. The transaction confirmation document will be sent through e-mail on the day Customer conduct securities transaction.
  1. Referring to the Stamp Duty Law and its implementing regulation, electronic confirmation document of the securities transactions conducted by Customers on the same day with total value of transaction above IDR10,000,000 (ten million Rupiah) will be subject to Stamp Duty in amount of IDR10,000 (ten thousand rupiah) which will be charged to the Customers.
  1. The types of securities transaction subject to Stamp Duty are Purchase and Sale transaction of Secondary Market Bonds, and/or other types of transactions recorded in the transaction confirmation document.
  1. BCA will calculate the Stamp Duty charge in accordance to the total securities transaction that Customer conduct daily through BCA and collect the Stamp Duty charge monthly on the next following month to the Customer. Below is an illustrative example of the Stamp Duty charge.

Explanation :

  • Total value of Ryan’s transaction on December 21st, 2022 is IDR5,108,500 (≤ IDR10,000,000) so the electronic confirmation document is not charged on Stamp Duty.
  • Total value of Rudi’s transaction on December 23th, 2022 is IDR98,600,400 (> IDR10,000,000) so that the electronic confirmation document will be subject to Stamp Duty Charge and customer will be debited by IDR10,000 on the following month.
  • Total value of Melisa’s transaction on December 26th, 2022 is IDR5,002,030 (≤ IDR10,000,000) so the electronic confirmation document is not charged on Stamp Duty.
  • Total value of Harry’s transaction on December 27th, 2022 is IDR14,767,980 (> IDR10,000,000) and on December 28th, 2022 is IDR113.940.620 (> IDR10,000,000) so that each electronic confirmation document will be subject to Stamp Duty Charge in amount of IDR10,000 and customer will be debited by IDR20,000 on the following month.
  1. In relation to item 4 above, BCA will debit the Stamp Duty charge from Customer account in BCA on the 10th date of each following month. If the 10th falls on holiday, the Stamp Duty charge will be debited on the next working day.

If there is any change in the implementation of Stamp Duty charge on securities transaction confirmation document, it will be informed to the Customer.
