VAT Rate Raises to 11% Starting April 2022

As a form of support for the government, BCA will also impose a tariff increase on the Value Added Tax (VAT) to 11% in accordance with Law No. 7 of 2021 on the Harmonization of Tax Regulations.

Therefore, BCA banking services that have been subject to 10% VAT will increase to 11%. The types of banking services that are subject to a VAT rate of 11%, including:

Banking Services Products Rental Fees for Safe Deposit Box (SDB) / Robotic Safe Deposit Box (RSDB)

Wealth Management

  • Mutual Funds
    • Mutual Fund Transaction Fees (currently fees include VAT and no increase imposed)
    • Mutual Fund Transaction Confirmation and Periodic Reports Printing Fees
  • Securities
    • Bond/Government Securities (SBN) transaction fees at the Secondary Market
    • Bank Indonesia Instrument transaction fees

The 11% VAT rate change is calculated from the amount of Service Fees/Administration Fees or other fees. The tariff change will be applied effectively starting on 1 April 2022.
