How to Set Up BCA Mastercard Debit Card Transactions Without a PIN When Overseas

*Updated: 28 Nov 2025

Do you often travel or vacation abroad? Don't forget to always bring your BCA Mastercard Debit Card. Because the BCA Mastercard Debit Card can be used for transactions at EDC machines and cash withdrawals at overseas ATMs with the BCA Mastercard logo. Practical, isn't it?

However, due to policies in certain countries where BCA Mastercard Debit Cards can be used via EDC without a PIN (with or without a signature), BCA feels it is necessary to protect the security of its customers from the possibility of fraud.

This risk may occur when a BCA Mastercard Debit Card user loses their card in foreign countries. To reduce the risk of misuse of BCA Debit Cards by other parties, BCA imposes restrictions on debit transactions without a PIN overseas.

Restrictions on PIN-less debit transactions overseas are implemented by setting a daily limit for such transactions made on EDC machines overseas.

The terms and conditions for daily transaction limits for BCA Mastercard Debit Cards without a PIN overseas are as follows:

  • Transaction frequency limit: no limit
  • Nominal accumulation limit: depends on each card type
Jenis Kartu Default Limit for Transactions Without a PIN Overseas Maximum Limit for Transactions Without a PIN Overseas
Xpresi IDR25,000,000 IDR50,000,000
Blue IDR50,000,000 IDR100,000,000
Gold & Tapres IDR60,000,000 IDR125,000,000
Platinum IDR70,000,000 IDR150,000,000
Prioritas & Solitaire IDR100,000,000 IDR200,000,000

Debit transactions without a PIN will be declined if the cumulative limit for debit transactions without a PIN is reached. The above limit can be set as needed on myBCA or BCA mobile. To set the limit on myBCA, follow these steps:

  • Select Debit Card menu in the Card section
  • Select Manage
  • Select Set Limits
