Jakarta, 17 August 2026 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA), through Bakti BCA, is collaborating with the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) to deliver humanitarian aid to victims of the natural disaster in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). The aid is intended to ease the burden on the NTT community affected by the 7.7 magnitude earthquake on Saturday (15 August).
The handover of aid from Bakti BCA was carried out at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, Jakarta, Sunday (16/8) by BCA Vice President Titi Yusnarti to Colonel Inf Agus Setiandar as Paban Bakti Ster TNI Headquarters.
The aid distributed included medicines, toddler underwear, diapers, blankets, tents, and portable beds. The distribution was carried out by Bakti BCA in coordination with local governments and the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri).
"BCA empathizes with the residents affected by the disaster and offers our condolences to the victims of the natural disaster in NTT. We hope that the recovery process and handling of the disaster's impact will run smoothly and quickly by various parties, including the government, the community, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (Polri), and the private sector. BCA hopes that the situation in NTT will quickly return to normal," said Hera F. Haryn, BCA EVP of Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility.
BCA's assistance is being distributed to support the needs and ease the burden on the people of NTT during the recovery period. BCA continues to monitor developments in NTT and the surrounding area.
BCA also confirmed that the disaster in NTT had not impacted the operations of the company's branch offices in the province. All company employees in the affected areas are safe.
