Good News! Enjoy Seamless Payments for Public Transport and Parking with BCA’s QRIS Tap


Jakarta, 8 December 2025 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) continues to improve the convenience of digital transactions by extending QRIS Tap access on the myBCA app to various transportation modes and parking facilities. This innovation enables users to make payments with a single tap using their smartphones or smartwatches, delivering a more seamless, secure, and efficient mobility experience.

QRIS Tap on myBCA can be used across various public transportations such as TransJakarta, LRT Jakarta, MRT Jakarta, and the Commuter Line. The feature also supports payments at numerous parking facilities operated by providers such as Parkee, Centre Park, and Sky Parking. With an expanding ecosystem, QRIS Tap delivers an integrated and inclusive contactless payment solution for the public.

With QRIS Tap now available on myBCA for public transportation and parking, we aim to provide customers with a more convenient, efficient, and secure transaction experience. QRIS Tap is a contactless payment feature developed by Bank Indonesia using Near Field Communication (NFC) technology. Through the myBCA app, users can access QRIS Tap from the ‘NFC Pay’ or ‘QRIS’ menu and make payments with a single tap using their smartphones or smartwatches, drawing funds from their bank accounts or individual credit cards. The feature also supports interbank transactions and e-wallets that have adopted the QRIS standard. BCA’s QRIS Tap service is already compatible with Android-based smartwatches (Wear OS).

To use BCA’s QRIS Tap for public transportation or parking facilities, users can follow these steps:

  • How to Tap In
    1. Open the myBCA app and select the ‘NFC Pay’ or ‘QRIS’ menu.
    2. Tap your device on the NFC reader at the entrance or Gate In, keep the myBCA app open during the process.
    3. A notification will appear confirming a successful Tap In. For public transportation, the system will temporarily hold the maximum fare for the chosen mode of transport.

  • How to Tap Out
    1. Open the ‘NFC Pay’ or ‘QRIS’ menu in the myBCA app.
    2. Tap your device on the NFC reader at the exit or Gate Out.
    3. A notification will confirm a successful Tap Out, and the fare will be immediately debited.

myBCA on Smartwatch

Moreover, BCA recently announced the myBCA on Smartwatch innovation, allowing customers to check their balance, view transaction history, and perform cardless transactions such as QRIS Tap and QRIS CPM (Customer Presented Mode) directly from their wrist.

With QRIS Tap on myBCA for Smartwatch, customers can enjoy even more convenient transactions while commuting on the LRT, MRT, TransJakarta, and Commuter Line. The feature also simplifies in-store payments. Users simply bring their smartwatch close to the EDC machine to complete a transaction.

Currently, QRIS Tap on smartphones and smartwatches is available only for Android devices and WearOS smartwatches. This innovation reflects BCA’s commitment to providing digital services that are relevant and aligned with today’s technological developments.
