BCA and PMI Call on Youth Participation in Blood Donation: A True Reflection of Humanity and Inclusivity

Bogor, 24 October 2025 - PT Bank Central Asia (BCA) Tbk, in collaboration with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), continues its dedication to nurturing a humanitarian spirit through ongoing blood donation events. This event took place at the BCA Learning Institute, Bogor, West Java, on Thursday (23/10), and open for all participants, including students from the Business and Banking Education Program (PPBP) and the Informatics Engineering Education Program (PPTI), trainees, and employees at the BCA Learning Institute, as a reflection of inclusivity in social action.

EVP Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility BCA Hera F. Haryn stated, “We believed that social awareness should continue to be nurtured across generations. BCA aims to instill the spirit of giving and empathy from an early age through the participation of PPBP/PPTI students in this blood donation activity. We believe that youths are not only the future generation but also active agents of change, capable of transforming human values into concrete actions. This effort reflects our commitment to education that builds empathetic and empowered future generations.”

From February to early October 2025, BCA has successfully collected more than 1,700 bags of blood from its head office and branch networks across the country. Since 1991, BCA has partnered with PMI to organize blood donation drives. Through this consistent collaboration, BCA has successfully collected and distributed over 15,800 blood bags, providing vital support to those in need..

Through the Bakti BCA program, particularly under the Bakti Kesehatan, BCA not only conducts regular blood donation drives but also initiates other healthcare programs. These include providing medical assistance through Cataract Surgery Social Service, Eye Health Examinations and Early Detection for Students, Bakti BCA Community Clinics, Stunting Reduction Programs, and Blood Donation Drives. Additionally, BCA also supports PMI’s capacity strengthening efforts through various forms of assistance, such as operational vehicles, blood scale & mixers, and mobile blood donation units.
