Jakarta, 18 August 2016 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) President Jahja Setiaatmadja was recognized for his achievements in leading and managing BCA, advancing the Bank’s reputation and achievement. Jahja received CEO of the Year award at Indonesia Property & Bank Award 2016 in the Banking category. This award was received directly by BCA President Jahja Setiaatmadja at Raffles Hotel, Jakarta, Thursday (18/8).
"The year 2015 and the first half of 2016 was a challenging period for the economy and Indonesia banking industry. However, BCA maintained solid performance in the national banking system and was able to take advantage of existing business opportunities. BCA’s positive development is achieved by remaining focused on delivering consistent service to our customers, strengthening banking franchise transactions, and proactively maintaining credit quality," Jahja explained.
Positive performance was also achieved thanks to good cooperation between employees and management of BCA. "The award reflects BCA performance and to me this day is an appreciation for the entire board of directors and management of BCA. Therefore, on this occasion, I would like to thank Property & Bank Magazine and Property and Financial Journalists Alliance (AJPK) that have conferred the title as CEO of the Year to myself," Jahja continued.
Indonesia Property & Bank Award was presented by Property & Bank Magazine and Property and Financial Journalists Alliance (AJPK). This award is an appreciation from the media and journalists for property business actors that have demonstrated outstanding achievement and dedication in their respective fields. Indonesia Property & Bank Award 2016 has several categories of awards, such as Personal, Projects/Corporate, Banking, and Construction Materials. The award, currently entering its tenth year, has become a benchmark for the achievements of property projects, banking, and reflect real press contribution in encouraging property businesses and national banks in Indonesia to continue developing high quality services. Indonesia Property and Bank Award also presented BCA with an award in the banking category.
