BCA Signed Loan Syndication Agreement to Build Angkasa Pura I Airport in Support of Enhanced Transportation Access

Jakarta, 18August 2016 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) supported the provision of air transportation by participating in financing airport construction project under the coordination of Angkasa Pura I. Among them are Ahmad Yani Airport Semarang, Kulon Progo Yogyakarta, Syamsuddin Noor Banjarmasin, Sultan Hasanudin Makassar, and Juanda Surabaya worth Rp 800 billion.

The 15-year syndicated loan also involved several institutions, such as Sarana Multi Infrastructure, Bank Mandiri, Indonesia Infrastructure Finance, and BRI. This syndicated loan aims to accommodate large amounts of funding requests with better risk management, due to risk sharing among the syndicated banks. The total credit provided by all participants reached Rp 4 trillion.

The signing ceremony of the syndicate was conducted on Thursday (08/18/2016) in Jakarta. BCA Director Rudy Susanto, PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) President Director Sulistyo Wimbo Hardjito, as well as participanting management and directors of the syndicated loan attended the signing of the cooperation agreement.

"We understand the needs of Angkasa Pura I, who wished to build airports that reflect the best quality services and international standards to answer demands of Indonesia’s increasing openness to global activity. Airport is the leading representation of this nation, and should be developed in order to accommodate the inflow of the outside world to ensure that every domestic and international visitor received international grade services. BCA is certain that this participation will help the Indonesian government to increase the economic value that benefits national economy," Rudy explained.

Angkasa Pura I planned to add 13 lanes at airports in central and eastern Indonesia, with excellent services that meet safety and comfort standards. Angkasa Pura I continued to increase its business services rapidly through the construction of airport facilities and improving the quality of the airports it manages.

"We welcome the cooperation of this syndicated loan. With a positive public interest in the use of air transport, the construction of Angkasa Pura I service is expected to be completed within the specified time, so that it can provide convenience for people who need quick access to central and eastern Indonesia by air," Rudy concluded.
