BCA Received Digital Innovation Award for Banking 2016 for Consistent Push for Digital Banking Innovation

Jakarta, June 23, 2016 – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) received another award recognizing its digital innovation prowess within the banking industry. This time, BCA received Best of the Best BUKU IV Category in Digital Innovation Award for Banking 2016. The award is given to banking business practitioners in Indonesia who have successfully implemented digital innovation in their banking operational activities and increase business productivity.

BCA Director Armand W. Hartono received the award from OJK Chairman of Board of Commissioner Muliaman D. Hadad, witnessed by Warta Ekonomi Editor in Chief Muhamad Ihsan, Ministry of Communications and Informatics Acting Director General of Applied Information Mariam F. Barata, and Warta Ekonomi Chief Marketing Officer Bramantyo Suryo Putra at the Jakarta event on June 23rd 2016..

Armand stated that the banking industry is required to continuously innovate and develop new products in this digital age. BCA answered the challenge through a variety of digital banking services, among others, internet banking and mobile banking transactions, integration of data between branch offices and the main office, and transaction security protecting various digital technology platforms.

“We have been working very hard to present our customers with positive experience every time they are conducting a digital transaction. We strive to fulfill customer needs to conduct 24 hours non-stop banking transactions on devices connected via phones and internet. BCA family’s hard work is finally appreciated by various parties, including by this award. We cannot thank our customers enough for their trust, as well as other parties who have entrusted BCA with their financial needs," exclaimed Armand.

In addition to the award, BCA Strategic Information Technology Group Executive Vice President Hermawan Thendean also spoke at the Talk Show Digital Innovation Award for Banking 2016, discussing challenges of the banking industry in the digital era and how BCA is prepared to face increasing customer needs this time.

On April 2016, BCA received eight awards in the Infobank Digital Brand Awards 2016 for its successful development of company brand in the digital era. BCA seeks to focus greatly on banking product innovation, especially through the utilization of digital platforms.
