Jakarta, June 2, 2016 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) is once again recognized as Best Bank 2016 for Commercial Bank with over Rp 100 trillion asset category at Investor Best Bank 2016. The award was part of a series of events leading to Top Indonesian Financial Leaders hosted by Investor Magazine.
The event was held on June 2, 2016 in Jakarta. BCA Financial and Planning Division Head Raymon Yonarto was present to receive the award. The winners of Investor Best Banks 2016 were appraised by independent judges with the support of Investor Magazine Research & Development Team based on 13 categories. The judges for the award included Perbanas Chairman Sigit Pramono, Banking Expert and PT Kiran Resources Indonesia CEO Subowo Musa, Resources Bahana President Harry Su, and Berita Satu Media Holdings Director Primus Dorimulu.
Raymon explained that Investor Best Banks 2016 recognizes excellent work performance of banks in Indonesia. With this appreciation, hopefully Indonesian banks will continue to improve their work performance, promote healthy competition, and improve their customer service
BCA and its subsidiaries earned positive financial records in the first quarter of 2016. Net profit increased by 11.1% to Rp 4.5 trillion from Rp 4.1 trillion in the previous period. BCA operational income, which consists of interest income and other operational income, increased by 17.0% to Rp 12.8 trillion in the first quarter of 2016, compared to Rp 11.0 trillion in the first quarter of 2015. At the end of March 2016, BCA credit portfolio reached Rp 373.7 trillion, increased by 11.4% in comparison to the same period last year. Third party funds increased by 5.7% YoY, reaching Rp 470.4 trillion at the end of March 2016.
“Presently, there are 12 banks with a total asset above Rp 100 trillion. BCA has consistently maintained the title for the same category since 2014. "This consistency is achieved only through the support and hard work of the extended BCA family.
