Semarang, May 14th 2016 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) continues to improve human resource (HR) quality through various education activities and training for university students. This time, BCA held a self-development leadership training program for Bakti BCA scholarship recipients at Universitas Diponegoro. This training is part of Bakti BCA Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Smart Solutions pillar.
Head of CSR BCA Sapto Rachmadi, Head of BCA Regional Office II Operations Support Hanna W Handoyo, and Diponegoro University Student Affairs Director Djoko Waloejo Handoyo attended the two-day training event in Semarang, Saturday, May 14, 2016. Unison Outbound Training Founder & Director Narendra spoke to equip and motivate Undip students.
"Students are the future generation that require further training as they enter the professional world, and face the Asean Economic Community (AEC) era, which will challenge them to compete with human resources from other countries. BCA is committed to develop the character and abilities of Indonesian students," Sapto explained.
Hanna added, in addition to excellence in the academic field, students are also encouraged to have a spirit of leadership and contribute positively to their future work environment. Students are expected to have a positive spirit, strong character, and competence in their field of work. Through this training, BCA hopes to provide required knowledge and skills, starting from self-introduction to self-management to achieve the highest goal. The training also aims to provide guidance to students build character and recognize hidden talents. The training aims to to adapt the knowledge and skills acquired in college with the needs of the working world to complete their education in classes.
Leadership training for Bakti BCA scholarship recipients is an ongoing regular event. Previously, BCA trained Universitas Indonesia and Institut Pertanian Bogot Bakti BCA scholarship recipients in February 2016.
"We hope that BCA can give rise to Indonesian future leaders. Leadership is something that must be built continuously, not an innate talent one is born with. It is important that various parties work together to facilitate this. Let us build highly qualified students for the future of a better nation," Sapto concluded.
