BCA Received ISO 20000-1 and ISO 22301 Certification

  • Data Center Network received ISO 20000-1:2011 (Service Management System) certification
  • Data Center Operation received ISO 22301:2012 (Business Continuity Management System) certification

Jakarta, 15 December 2017 – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) continues its commitment to continuously improve service quality to its customers, including through improving the quality of service management and business sustainability management. This is realized though ISO certification received by Data Center Network work unit, namely ISO 20000-1:2011 from PT SGS Indonesia and Data Center Operation work unit ISO 22301:2012 from PT Intertek Indonesia.

The ISO certification is directly submitted by Business Certification Manager of PT Intertek Indonesia Anwar Siregar and Managing Director of PT SGS Indonesia Shashibhushan Jogani to Deputy President Director of BCA Armand Wahyudi Hartono and Senior Executive Vice President of IT BCA Hermawan Thendean at BCA Tower, Friday (15/12).

Armand said that, “BCA is continuously taking serious various steps and efforts to improve the capacity and capabilities of information technology systems. They are solely for the development of a more sophisticated distribution network and serving the increased transactions as well as the increasingly complex and growing business needs. This has led BCA to continuously improve service through our work standards certification process, in order to be internationally recognized. We are very grateful for the hard work from the entire team, and today we have once more received recognition through ISO certification.”

Armand further explained that the Data Center Network team plays strategic roles, including providing network and internet banking services. Given its vital function, BCA applies for certification from an accredited agency to assess service quality of Data Center Network work unit.

ISO 20000-1:2011 is an international service standard for service management. Data Center Network implements ISO 20000-1:2011 as one of the means to ensure that customers are getting a quality service in accordance with international service standards. In addition, another work unit that is equally significant is the Data Center Operation that manages Data Center BCA. With ISO 22301:2012 certification, customers can be more confident that BCA has implemented international standards in maintaining its business continuity.

With this certification, it is also expected to increase customer confidence, service process quality assurance, increased employee’s productivity, motivation, morale and performance, efficiency improvements, and so on. “Our certification is an effort to improve information technology governance in order to support and improve service to various BCA work units. This will certainly leas to improvements in quality and fluency to customers in general,” Armand concluded.

With ISO 20000-1:2011 from PT SGS Indonesia received by the Data Center Network work unit as well as ISO 22301:2012 from PT Intertek Indonesia for the Data Center Operation work unit are expected to improve customer confidence, service quality assurance, improved productivity, motivation, morale & employee performance, efficiency improvement, etc.
