BCA Maintains its Excellence Performance Title for Over 15 Years at the Infobank Awards 2017

Bali, 10 August 2017 – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) once again recognized for its continuous commitment to provide best banking products and services to its loyal customers. This time, BCA won the Titanium Trophy in Infobank Awards 2017 for its continued ‘very good’ performance for more than 15 consecutive years. The award was received by President Director of BCA Jahja Setiaadmadja and the Head of BCA Branch Office IV Frengky Chandra Kusuma in Nusa Dua, Bali (10/8). 

“The ongoing refinement process ensures BCA in providing the best service to customers; catering the evolving customers’ financial needs, and always be the frontrunner in utilizing the latest technology. The business conditions in 2016, which characterized by many challenges, has become a test of the resilience for the BCA’s business model. BCA focuses on exploring and optimizing business opportunities while maintaining prudential principles. Having a proven business model has enabled BCA to produce a solid financial performance. We are grateful that the result of our positive performance has been recognized at the Infobank Award 2017,” said Jahja.

 

Infobank Awards is an event held by the Infobank, an economy magazine, as a form of appreciation to the best banks in the country. This year, the Infobank will once again rank the best banks based on their performance throughout 2016. The awards are divided into categories which include companies with an ‘very good’ predicate based on their capital group (Rp 100 billion to Rp 1 trillion, Rp 1 trillion to Rp 10 trillion, Rp 10 trillion to Rp 50 trillion), Golden Trophy, Platinum Trophy and Titanium Trophy. The Golden Trophy is awarded to companies, which within its five years performance have garnered a very good performance predicate. The Platinum Trophy is given to companies with a ‘very good’ title for 10 consecutive years, while the Titanium Trophy is awarded to companies with ‘very good’ title for more than 15 years.

 

In determining companies with ‘excellent’ performance, the Infobank uses 7 parameters based on the ratings of risk management profile, GCG composite value, capital, asset quality, rentability, liquidity, and efficiency. Based on these seven criteria, BCA has successfully scored 95.55% for its financial performance in 2016 or the highest score of all 115 nominated banks evaluated by the Infobank Research Agency. BCA’s excellent performance has been recognized once more with a ‘very good’ predicate, which the Bank BCA has successfully maintained for over than 15 consecutive years, now resulted in a Titanium Trophy.

 

The result of its business model that continues to be maintained and improved has also led the bank to a successful positive financial performance for the first half of 2017.  As of June 2017, BCA recorded a net profit growth of 10.0% to Rp 10.5 trillion, with the third-party funds grew 16.7 % YoY to Rp 572.2 trillion. “The BCA’s efforts in strengthening transaction banking business and its ability to adapt to the current market condition resulted in increased fund and quality loan growth. Through the offering of competitive rates on the Bank’s flagship lending programs, BCA saw significant growth in mortgages outstanding, further strengthening its strategic position in the market,” Jahja concluded.
