Jakarta, 28 November 2019 – For its success in encouraging solid performance in the banking sector, President Director of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) Jahja Setiaatmadja has been selected to receive the 3rd Infobank Top Bankers. The award recognizes the best CEO in the banking industry with remarkable achievements in leading their companies to achieve the best performance and become a role model that enables the full potential in his/her employees.
President Director of BCA Jahja Setiaatmadja directly received the Bankers of the Year award handed over by Editor-in-Chief of Infobank Magazine Eko B. Supriyanto at the 3rd Infobank Top 100 Bankers in Jakarta, Thursday (28/11). "I had the privilege of earning trust, both from internal and external parties, to lead BCA in providing quality, reliable banking products and services for the customers,” said Jahja.
Jahja added that a CEO must always understand and adapt to digital transformation that heavily influences the current banking business models. Leaders must be able to roll with these changes and find appropriate solutions to the problems at hand. On the other hand, in order to face the millennials era, leaders are required to give not only directions, but also to be more open for critics and feedbacks from the employees.
The 3rd Infobank Top 100 Bankers is a forum of 100 bankers to examine and discuss strategic issues that affect the banking and financial industry that would allow the practitioners in the banking and financial sectors make appropriate strategies in response to future market challenges. This year, the award chose the theme “Understanding the Influences of Financial Technology and Millenial Effect Human Capital Management in Banking Industry”. It is the the third time Infobank hosted the award, recognizing the best bankers who have become role models and a source of inspiration for the progress of the national banking sector. For his hard work, commitment and innovation in building BCA to become the largest private banking institution in Indonesia, President Director of BCA, Jahja Setiaatmadja was awarded with the Bankers of The Year 2019.
“We hope that the award can be the source of motivation for other leaders from the banking sector or other sectors to continue to innovate that can contribute to economic development in Indonesia,” concluded Jahja.
