BCA Achievements at Bank Indonesia Award 2019

Jakarta, 28 November 2019 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) has once again recognized at the Bank Indonesia Award 2019 for its compliance and consistency in reporting a positive financial performance. This time, BCA won the Compliance of Rapporteurs Banks award. 

President Director of BCA Jahja Setiaatmadja received the Compliance of Rapporteurs Banks award submitted by the Governor of Bank Indonesia Perry Warjiyo in Jakarta, Thursday (28/11). Jahja said, amid the moderate economic growth, BCA continued to strive to realize good corporate governance through transparent company performance reports and compliance with regulators, capital markets, the public and other stakeholders. 

"BCA is committed to supporting the implementation of good corporate governance in a consistent and sustainable manner. BCA realizes the importance of applying the principles of good corporate governance in addition to providing value added to all stakeholders as well as to take on the risks and challenges facing the banking industry. Therefore, in order to maintain and increase customer trust, good governance is require from all BCA management by carrying out the bank’s compliance function on the financial statements that have announced by Bank Indonesia,” explained Jahja. 

Net profit increased 13.0% YoY to Rp20.9 trillion, supported by solid operating income performance. In line with the Bank’s loan growth, net interest income increased 12.2% YoY to Rp37.4 trillion. Non-interest income grew 19.3% YoY to Rp15.0 trillion, driven by increasing fees & commissions and trading income

Last October, through the achievement of solid operational performance, net profit increased 13.0% YoY to Rp20.9 trillion, supported by solid operating income performance. In line with the Bank’s loan growth, net interest income increased 12.2% YoY to Rp37.4 trillion. Non-interest income grew 19.3% YoY to Rp15.0 trillion, driven by increasing fees & commissions and trading income. 

Bank Indonesia Award is an awarding event organized by Bank Indonesia that recognizes banks that are able to maintain their commitment in providing excellent service and value-added solutions for all customers and partners. On the other hand, the event was also held simultaneously with PTBI 2019 titled “Synergy of Innovation Transformation towards Advanced Indonesia”, which was attended by President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo. In the previous year, BCA had won two awards, namely the Best Financial Market Deepening Support Bank and the Best Rupiah and Foreign Currency Monetary Control Support Bank. For its expertise in maintaining its commitment to providing service excellence and value-added solutions for customers, BCA was awarded with the Compliance of Rapporteurs Banks award. 

“Thank you to Bank Indonesia for recognizing BCA in fulfilling its responsibilities in carrying out the company’s obligations to Bank Indonesia regulations. On the other hand, we hope that this award can further encourage BCA to continue to provide better performance every year and record solid business growth and create value added for all stakeholders,” Jahja concluded.
