A Closer Look at the KeyBCA Application

KeyBCA token is a physical token that is commonly used to authorize transactions made through the web-based internet banking, such as the website version of myBCA or KlikBCA. Now, KeyBCA is available in the form of an application, allowing transactions to be completed more easily via smartphones.

Basically, the KeyBCA app has a similar function to the KeyBCA token. However, the app version has several other additional features to support more convenient banking transactions. For more details, see the features and advantages of the KeyBCA application below.

About KeyBCA application

KeyBCA app is an application for authorizing transactions made through BCA internet banking such as the website version of myBCA or KlikBCA. In addition to facilitating transactions, the KeyBCA app also serves as an additional security system during transactions.

The KeyBCA app is available for download through the Play Store for Android users, or the App Store for iOS.

KeyBCA App Features

The KeyBCA app functions similarly to the KeyBCA token. Here are the features you can find in this app:

  • Transaction Approval/Authorization

    • A feature to approve or reject confirmation of transactions made on the web version of myBCA or KlikBCA

  • Approval History

    • A feature to view transaction history such as successful approved transactions, unapproved transactions, and failed transactions due to expiration

  • Generate APPLI-1 PIN:

    • Appli 1 is the code required to finalize the authorization of transactions on the web version of myBCA or KlikBCA

  • Generate APPLI-2 PIN:

    • Appli 2 is the code required to confirm transaction authorization on the web version of myBCA or KlikBCA

  • Change PIN:

A feature to change the PIN in the KeyBCA application, which is used to log in to the application and also to finalize transaction

Before downloading the KeyBCA app through the Play Store or App Store, you need to register the KeyBCA app first before it can be used. 

For physical KeyBCA users, the KeyBCA app registration can be done through the Ubah KeyBCA menu on the web version of myBCA or KlikBCA.

How to Register the KeyBCA App via the Web Version of myBCA

  1. Log in to the web version of myBCA at mybca.bca.co.id
  2. Click the settings icon on the top right
  3. Select the Connect KeyBCA menu
  4. Select Change KeyBCA
  5. Select the e-Banking mobile number to be used and enter the APPLI-1 response from the physical KeyBCA, then click Continue
  6. The KeyBCA Application Registration is successful, and proceed to download and activate the KeyBCA app

How to Register the KeyBCA App via KlikBCA

  1. Log in to KlikBCA at https://ibank.klikbca.com/
  2. Select the Administration menu
  3. Select Change KeyBCA
  4. Select the e-Banking mobile number to be used and enter the APPLI-1 response from the physical KeyBCA, then click Continue
  5. The KeyBCA Application Registration is successful, and proceed to download and activate the KeyBCA app

For those who do not have a physical KeyBCA, they can register through eService at BCA branches

How to Register the KeyBCA App via eService

  1. Visit eService 
  2. Select Mulai, select the Fasilitas Perbankan menu and dan then the RegistrasiAplikasiKeyBCAsub menu
  3. A prompt will appear, the KeyBCA app Info Produk and Disclaimer that needs to be approved
  4. Verify ATM card and enter PIN on e-KTP reader device
  5. Select internet banking facility (myBCA or KlikBCA) that will be connected to the KeyBCA app
  6. Select the e-Banking mobile number to be used, click Lanjut
  7. The KeyBCA Application Registration is successful, and proceed to download and activate the KeyBCA app

How to Activate the KeyBCA App

  1. Download the KeyBCA app via the Play Store or App Store
  2. Open the KeyBCA app, click Set Up Now
  3. Agree to the terms and conditions, click Next
  4. Enter your 16 digit ATM card number, click Verify Account
  5. Verify by SMS*
  6. Create a 6-digit PIN that will be used to log in and approve transactions through the KeyBCA app
  7. Confirm PIN, click Verify Account
  8. Verify yourself by taking a photo of yourself, click Next
  9. Verify by entering the OTP code sent via SMS*
  10. KeyBCA account creation successful

*make sure the connected number has sufficient balance to send and receive premium SMS

After the KeyBCA app is connected, here’s how to authorize transactions from the web version of myBCA or KlikBCA:

How to Authorize Transactions via Push Notification

  1. Click the notification from the KeyBCA app
  2. Read the transaction details and click Approve to authorize transactions made through the web version of myBCA or KlikBCA 
  3. Enter PIN to confirm
  4. Transaction is successful

How to Authorize Transactions via Generate APPLI-1

  1. Open the KeyBCA app
  2. Select Generate APPLI-1
  3. Enter the APPLI-1 response code that appears on the web version of myBCA or KlikBCA

How to Authorize Transactions via Generate APPLI-2

  1. Open the KeyBCA app
  2. Select Generate APPLI-2
  3. Enter the code that is generated from the web version of myBCA or KlikBCA into the KeyBCA app
  4. Enter the APPLI-2 response code that appears on the web version of myBCA or KlikBCA
