Labor Practice Commitment
Scope of BCA’s Labor Practice Commitment
BCA regards fair, ethical, and responsible labor practices as the primary foundation for managing its human resources and sustaining long-term growth. Guided by its Human Rights Policy, Respectful Workplace Policy, and Collective Labor Agreement, the Bank is committed to protecting the fundamental rights, dignity, and well-being of every employee. This principle is upheld across BCA's own operations, as well as in its relationships with contractors and partners.
Human Rights Commitment
BCA is committed to respecting human rights across all operations, in accordance with internationally accepted standards. Guided by its Human Rights Policy and Respectful Workplace Policy, the Bank rejects and seeks to avoid human trafficking, forced labor, and child labor, while upholding freedom of association, the right to collective bargaining, and protection from discrimination. These commitments form the rights-based foundation for every aspect of BCA's employment practices.
Fair and Adequate Remuneration
BCA is committed to providing a living wage that supports the basic needs and quality of life of its employees. This commitment applies across all employment levels, including entry-level roles, with compensation set above the applicable Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP). To maintain fairness and competitiveness, the Bank reviews its compensation structure through structured internal mechanisms and periodic benchmarking against the broader banking market.
Working Hours and Well-being
BCA fully complies with national labor laws governing maximum working hours, structuring the working week to ensure employees have adequate rest. The bank actively monitors overtime undertaken with authorization and proper compensation to prevent excessive working hours. This is part of a broader commitment to sustainable productivity and the long-term health of its workforce. Alongside with flexible working arrangements for eligible employees, these practices reflect BCA's commitment to a healthy work-life balance and employee well-being.
Equal Remuneration
BCA is committed to equal remuneration, determining pay on the basis of role and performance without regard to gender or any other personal characteristic. This principle applies throughout the employment lifecycle, including recruitment, promotion and retention, and not just to the determination of base pay. BCA periodically monitors remuneration on the basis of gender equality.
Annual Leave Entitlement
All BCA employees receive a fully paid annual leave entitlement in accordance with applicable labor regulations and the Collective Labor Agreement. This entitlement complements a range of other leave provisions that support employees through significant personal and family circumstances. BCA regards these entitlements as an essential part of its commitment to employee well-being and a sustainable work-life balance.
Responsible Workforce Restructuring
BCA is committed to complying with labor regulations in Indonesia, including the Manpower Law (Undang-Undang Ketenagakerjaan), in relation to any workforce restructuring. Should any mass termination (PHK) occur, the Bank complies with the notice periods and procedural requirements mandated by applicable national regulations.
