Arrives in Surabaya, BCA Berbagi Ilmu Prepares UNUSA and UNAIR Students for the Professional World

Surabaya, 9 October 2026 – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) has once again brought its BCA Berbagi Ilmu (BBI) program to support the development of Indonesia’s human resources. This time, BBI visited two campuses in Surabaya: Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Surabaya (UNUSA) on 8 October and Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) on 9 October 2026.

Attended by more than 1,100 students across the two campuses, BBI Surabaya directly presented BCA Director Widodo Mulyono as the keynote speaker, delivering the theme 'Sharpening Your Edge: Skills and Attitude for The Next Chapter'. The presence of BBI at both campuses is expected to broaden students' access to learning that is not only academic but also provides perspectives on the competencies and mindsets required in the professional world.

Widodo stated that the younger generation needs to possess strong capabilities and character to face various challenges in a dynamic working environment. In this regard, he encouraged students to view failure as an opportunity to learn and grow better. Most importantly, approaching the Indonesia Emas 2045 era, the country needs resilient human resources to overcome challenges.

"Today's workplace demands more than just academic achievements. Students need to build the ability to lead and make a positive impact, use technology wisely, learn actively and strategically, and continuously develop themselves to add value. These four aspects are not merely knowledge to be studied, but habits that must be cultivated starting from university," said Widodo.

Echoing this sentiment, BCA EVP Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility Hera F. Haryn stated that BBI aims to provide direct learning from BCA leaders so that students gain not only knowledge but also practical perspectives on the professional world, leadership, digital transformation, and the competencies needed to continuously thrive.

"We hope this opportunity will encourage students to be more confident in preparing for their next steps after graduation and become adaptive talents capable of making a positive contribution to society," said Hera.

The BCA Berbagi Ilmu program has been held since 2023 and consistently reaches students at various public and private universities across Indonesia. As of 2025, the program had reached 24 universities with a total of more than 16,000 students. Meanwhile, from January to August 2026, BBI was held at 5 universities with 3,596 student participants. BBI highlights four main topics, namely leadership & social influence, technology use, active & strategic learning, and self-development to add value. In line with the projection that Indonesia will enter a demographic dividend period peaking by 2030, BCA views the quality development of the younger generation as a crucial part of preparing superior Indonesian human resources.

With Indonesia projected to enter its demographic dividend period, which is expected to peak by 2030, BCA sees the development of young people’s capabilities as an important part of preparing a highly skilled Indonesian workforce.

Beyond providing learning opportunities for students, BBI is also part of BCA’s efforts to build relationships and open up opportunities for collaboration with higher education institutions. These partnerships are expected to benefit both parties while creating a broader impact on the development of Indonesia’s human resources.

"We hope BCA Berbagi Ilmu can serve as a small step that provides long-term benefits for the students and Indonesia," concluded Hera.
