Jakarta, 15 September 2026 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) continues to strengthen its support for local economic development and sustainable tourism through the Desa Bakti BCA program. One such initiative is the availability of tour packages in the Lifestyle section of the myBCA app, making it easier for the public to discover and book a variety of community-based travel experiences. To boost interest and increase visits to tourist villages, BCA is also offering a special promotion.
Unlike previous promotions, which were timed for specific occasions, such as the Eid al-Fitr holiday, school breaks, or Christmas and New Year’s, this time BCA is running the promotion over a longer period, from late July 2026 through November 30, 2026. This initiative is expected to maintain the visibility of these destinations while fostering more sustainable tourism throughout the year.
This program involves a number of BCA Bakti Villages with outstanding tourism potential, including the Wayang Tourism Village of Pucung Wukirsari (Yogyakarta), the Glodok Chinatown Tourism Village (Jakarta), the Pentingsari Tourism Village (Yogyakarta), Pindul Cave Tourism (Yogyakarta), Taro Tourism Village (Bali), and Bilebante Tourism Village (West Nusa Tenggara).
This market access expansion program is part of the Desa Bakti BCA development strategy to introduce tourism villages and support sales missions for the villages under its guidance. This is achieved by offering various promotional programs that provide added value to customers.
“BCA believes that empowering tourism villages requires not only enhancing community capacity but also broadening sustainable market access. Through the Lifestyle feature in the myBCA app, we hope to increase customer interest in educational and recreational tour packages in Desa Bakti BCA, thereby creating a tangible economic impact for the local community,” said BCA EVP of Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility Hera F. Haryn.
Through the ‘MKP Travel Tickets’ menu in the Lifestyle feature of the myBCA app, customers can receive a 20% discount on transactions of at least IDR50,000, subject to a limited daily quota. In addition to targeting general tourists, this program is also designed to attract the educational tourism segment, particularly schools with field trip programs or travel-based learning experiences. Expanding market access through BCA Lifestyle is expected to open opportunities for partner villages to reach a broader and more diverse segment of tourists. “BCA believes that community-based tourism plays a vital role in fostering inclusive and sustainable growth. Through various initiatives, BCA will continue to collaborate with local communities to develop local potential, strengthen the competitiveness of tourism villages, and provide meaningful travel experiences for visitors,” said Hera.
