Jakarta, 14 August 2026 – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) once again held BCA Berbagi Ilmu (BBI) as part of its effort to support the improvement of Indonesia's human resources quality. This time, BBI made its first appearance on the island of Kalimantan, specifically at Universitas Tanjungpura (UNTAN), Pontianak, on Thursday (8/13/2026).
BCA Director, Vera Eve Lim appeared as the keynote speaker before more than 1,000 students, delivering a talk themed "Future-Ready: Thriving in a World of Constant Change." On this occasion, Vera encouraged the younger generation, especially students, to keep developing themselves and be ready to face the changing times as the digital era advances rapidly.
"The future is never singular, there are always choices and possibilities. What is relevant today may not be relevant in the future. Being future-ready means having the ability to prepare oneself to face a constantly changing future," said Vera.
Vera said the world has been moving at a pace never imagined before. This situation, she noted, is ultimately pushing the younger generation not to stop at any particular point, but to have the will to continuously develop their competencies, think critically, collaborate, and expand their networks.
BCA EVP of Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility, Hera F. Haryn, expressed hope that through this public lecture featuring members of BCA's Board of Directors, students would gain the opportunity to broaden their understanding of industry dynamics, leadership, digital transformation, and the various competencies needed to become adaptive talents amid change.
"Through BCA Berbagi Ilmu, we want to bring direct learning from BCA's leaders so that students not only gain academic knowledge, but also understand the competencies, character, and mindset needed in the workplace. We hope this program can continue to strengthen BCA's synergy with universities while producing young talents who are adaptive, innovative, and ready to contribute to society," said Hera.
Hera also said that BCA is always open to opportunities for collaboration between BCA and higher education institutions. She stated that such collaboration would bring positive effects for all parties, both for BCA's business units and for Indonesian society, by helping improve the quality of the next generation about to enter the workforce.
"BCA believes that the development of Indonesia's human resources is an important step toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Programs like BBI are proof of Bakti BCA's sustainability commitment to that target," Hera concluded.
