Jakarta, 1 May 2026 – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) has officially announced the teams from eight public and private universities in Indonesia selected to advance to the final round of Genera-Z Berbakti 2026. Genera-Z Berbakti is a call for proposal program for student groups to serve the community in Bakti BCA assisted villages.
The eight teams were chosen after BCA conducted a selection process for more than 260 proposals from 98 universities submitted during the Genera-Z Berbakti 2026 registration period. They will compete by pitching their ideas before three panelists for the opportunity to serve the community directly in four Bakti BCA Villages.
“BCA congratulates the eight teams that have qualified for the final round of Genera-Z Berbakti 2026. Generally, all the proposals we received contained various innovative ideas and demonstrated the immense spirit of the younger generation to serve and create a real impact. For the teams that did not advance, we hope you keep your spirit and ideas alive so they can still be realized. We hope the finalists will showcase their best abilities to advocate for their proposals before the panelists,” said BCA EVP Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility Hera F. Haryn.
The following is the list of Bakti BCA Villages for program implementation, along with the Genera-Z Berbakti 2026 finalists and their proposed projects:
Terong Creative Tourism Village, Bangka Belitung Islands
- Sunan Gunung Djati State Islamic University Bandung – DESA HIDUP: Smart Eco-Tourism for Environment-Based and Digital Sustainable Tourism Village Transformation
- Gadjah Mada University – Optimizing Local Village Potential through Sustainable Tourism and Innovation Based on a Green-Blue Economy to Improve Welfare

- Padjadjaran University – MEGA-LESTARI (Sustainable Megalithic) Program: Integration of Circular Economy and Eco-Sanitation Based on Youth Empowerment

Patakbanteng Tourism Village, Central Java
- Airlangga University – Amerta Pertiwi: Weaving Sustainability through Circular Environmental Technology and Health Empowerment Based on Digitized Women (Srikandi)
- Cenderawasih University – Transformation into a Healthy, Sustainable, and Empowered Village through the Integration of Health Innovation, Environmental Management, and Technology-Based Food Self-Sufficiency

- University of Indonesia – KATALIS: Kakaskasen Dua Transformation for Agriculture, Wellness Tourism, and Local Innovation Sustainability
- BINUS University – MAPALUS: Minahasan Action for Preserving Arts, Local Upskilling, and Sustainability
The finalists will pitch their ideas and demonstrate team solidity directly before three Genera-Z Berbakti 2026 panelists: Bakti BCA Ambassador Nicholas Saputra, Entertainer & Sociopreneur Cinta Laura, and Scientist & Social Entrepreneur Tri Mumpuni.
In addition to being known as the Bakti BCA Ambassador, Nicholas Saputra is an individual who pays special attention to environmental, social, and cultural issues through various initiatives. Meanwhile, Cinta Laura is recognized for her work in the performing arts as well as her activism in women's empowerment and youth development. Tri Mumpuni is famously nicknamed the "Electric Woman" for her work in bringing electricity to dozens of remote villages through Micro-hydro Power Plants.
"We believe the Genera-Z Berbakti panelists have excellent and relevant track records, enabling them to determine the best proposals worthy of being realized in each target Bakti BCA Village. We hope Genera-Z Berbakti 2026 can serve as a platform for students to exchange ideas and become more enthusiastic about contributing to their surroundings," said Hera.
Genera-Z Berbakti is open to students from various universities in Indonesia who wish to implement innovative ideas and contribute directly to society through Student Community Service (KKN), community service programs, or similar activities in Bakti BCA assisted tourism villages.
Following the registration and selection phases, Genera-Z Berbakti will enter the finalist judging stage on May 16-17. Subsequently, the program will continue with the announcement of winners, a bootcamp, and the deployment of winners to the activity locations. The field implementation phase is scheduled from July 8 to August 6, 2026. All winners are required to present their final reports thereafter.
