Jakarta, 9 April 2026 – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) held a public lecture titled BCA Berbagi Ilmu (BBI) at Bina Nusantara University (Binus) in Jakarta on Wednesday (8/4). The inaugural BBI event of 2026 featured the theme “From Lecture Hall to Real World: Thriving in a Turbulent Era,” and was delivered directly by BCA Director Haryanto T Budiman.
The BBI event at Binus Jakarta was attended by more than 560 students. Haryanto stated that this initiative reflects BCA’s commitment and dedication to the world of education, as well as its efforts to cultivate high-caliber human resources in preparation for Indonesia’s Golden Age in 2045.
“BBI is one of BCA’s initiatives to prepare the younger generation to be better equipped to face global challenges. We believe that Indonesia’s youth can grow strong and dynamic in the face of rapidly changing global dynamics. Every young person must possess a strong character and steadfast principles to navigate this challenging era and emerge as individuals with outstanding values,” said Haryanto Budiman.
Haryanto stated that education is crucial for Indonesia’s future. Without quality education, the benefits of Indonesia’s demographic advantage will not be fully realized. BCA consistently strives to contribute to improving the quality of education and human resources in Indonesia.
“The younger generation, particularly college students, must be able to act quickly, adapt, and effectively apply the values they’ve learned in college when entering the workforce or starting a business. Additionally, we must continue to uphold integrity. These values have long been implemented by BCA internally, with the sole aim of delivering the best products and services to our customers,” he said.
During this BBI session, BCA also promoted the Genera-Z Berbakti program. This call-for-proposals initiative is aimed at active student groups enrolled in Diploma III, Applied Bachelor’s, or Bachelor’s degree programs at universities across Indonesia who are passionate about community development in rural areas. Through this program, BCA will provide funding, mentoring, and opportunities for students to implement their ideas directly in the BCA Bakti Village. Student groups can participate in this program by submitting a program proposal and fulfilling the various terms and conditions as outlined on the program’s official webpage at bca.id/generazberbakti.
Hera F. Haryn, BCA’s Executive Vice President of Corporate Communications & Social Responsibility, said, “BCA is always open to opportunities for collaboration with all
universities. Through collaborations between banking institutions and educational institutions like this, we are confident that in the future, more and more Indonesian talent will be able to grow into good leaders for themselves and society. BBI is a regular program organized by Bakti BCA in the field of education since 2023, featuring public lectures by members of BCA’s Board of Directors. In the 2025 edition, BBI was held at 9 universities and attended by more than 6,300 students. BCA’s Board of Directors takes turns presenting the material at each BBI session. BBI is a manifestation of Bakti BCA’s ongoing commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
