Padang, 21 December 2025 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA), through its corporate shared value program under the Bakti BCA, returned to Sumatra to directly reach a number of disaster-affected areas. During a visit on Wednesday (18/12), the Bakti BCA team traveled to West Sumatra to provide humanitarian assistance and develop public facilities to support the recovery of flood-affected communities in Solok Regency.
The aid distribution and inauguration of public facilities were held at the Muaro Pingai Nagari Post in Junjung Sirih District, Solok Regency, and surrounding flood-affected areas. The assistance was handed over by BCA Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility EVP Hera F. Haryn to representatives of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (Tentara Nasional Indonesia) and local residents affected by the floods.
“Through Bakti BCA, BCA extends its deepest sympathy and condolences to those affected by the disasters in several areas of Sumatra, including Solok, West Sumatra. In support of recovery efforts, we are providing humanitarian assistance, which we hope will be meaningful and help alleviate the burdens faced by our fellow citizens. BCA remains committed to supporting the restoration of both social and economic conditions in the affected communities,” said BCA Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility EVP Hera F. Haryn.
Following Solok Regency, Bakti BCA will also distribute assistance to Aceh Tamiang Regency in Aceh Province and South Tapanuli Regency in North Sumatra Province. In total, the aid provided by Bakti BCA across these three locations includes 520 kg of rice, 3,000 bottles of mineral water, approximately 1,200 packs of biscuits, around 350 cans of sardines, over 900 bottles of UHT milk, 36 ready-to-eat meal packages, 3 barrack tents (4x6 m), 15 cots, 80 blankets, more than 600 clothing items for children and adults, nearly 1,000 pieces of women’s underwear, over 800 dozen baby diapers, about 600 dozen sanitary pads, 45 sleeping mats, and various medicines, multivitamins, and eucalyptus oil.
In addition, Bakti BCA is supporting the construction of bore wells, 5,000-liter water tanks, and public sanitation facilities at all three locations, as part of recovery efforts and to provide clean water to flood-affected communities. Specifically in Aceh Tamiang Regency, Bakti BCA is also supporting the installation of solar panels to power water pumps.
Previously, Bakti BCA visited disaster-affected areas in Medan and Langkat on Monday (1/12). In collaboration with the Indonesian National Armed Forces, aid was distributed directly at the Refugee Post on Jalan Pancar, Lk8, Hamdan Village, Medan Maimun District, Medan City, as well as at the Joint Post in Koramil 09, Kebun Lada, Hinai District, Langkat Regency. In total, Bakti BCA provided 550 boxes of mineral water, 70 boxes of instant noodles, 912 packs of biscuits, 4,200 tablets of medicines and multivitamins, and 100 bottles of eucalyptus oil.
Bakti BCA has also collaborated with the Indonesian National Armed Forces to deliver humanitarian aid to disaster-affected areas in Aceh and North Sumatra, including Sibolga City. The aid handover took place at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base in Jakarta on Friday (28/11). The assistance included basic necessities such as staple foods, mineral water, blankets, baby diapers, medicines, multivitamins, tents, and portable beds.
Bakti BCA’s collaboration with the Indonesian National Armed Forces enables aid to be distributed efficiently and effectively on the ground. Their extensive capabilities and network are essential for accelerating disaster response across multiple affected areas.
